NB65 reportedly claimed in May 2022 that it had stolen QIWI payment records and credit card data. QIWI reportedly denied the attack and said its payment services were operating normally. The cited sources do not independently verify that the data came from QIWI or establish how many valid cards, if any, were exposed.

What NB65 reportedly claimed

The Cyber Security Incident Database’s summary of the 2022 incident attributes several figures to NB65: 10.5 terabytes of data, 30 million payment records, 12.5 million filtered credit cards, and 7 million card details allegedly leaked. These are claims relayed by a secondary source, not verified counts of valid cards or affected people. Cyber Security Incident Database incident summary

A May 2022 report by iThome says NB65 claimed it published two download links on May 5, said they contained seven million card numbers and payment records, and threatened further releases. iThome’s May 2022 report

How QIWI responded

According to iThome, QIWI denied the incident in a statement to TASS and said payment services were operating normally. That is a reported company response; it does not independently settle whether any data was taken or whether the purported records were authentic. iThome’s May 2022 report

What QIWI’s filings do—and do not—confirm

QIWI’s 2021 annual report says the company registered an increase in distributed denial-of-service attacks in March and April 2022, which it said had no material effect on business operations. The disclosure concerns those earlier DDoS attacks; it does not directly address NB65’s separate May allegation. QIWI 2021 Form 20-F
