The May 3 report said 1,205 candidates had been shortlisted and that the recruitment covered 234 Vital Statistics Assistant posts. Those figures were reported by Scroll; the original recruitment advertisement was not available on an official OSSC host in the material reviewed.
How candidates were directed to access the card
- Go to the OSSC official website.
- Open the VSA Mains admit-card link referenced in the May 2024 report.
- Enter the candidate login details requested on the page to access the admission letter.
The 2024 report did not provide a verified direct destination for the VSA-specific link, so use the commission’s website rather than an unverified deep link. OSSC’s portal currently has a general admit-card download area with candidate credential fields, but that does not establish that the 2024 VSA card remains accessible there.

Current availability of the specific VSA Mains 2023 admission letter is unconfirmed. The May 2024 report described a historical link for candidates ahead of the May 5 examination; the commission’s present generic download facility is not proof that this old link or card is still active. For any current record or recruitment query, check OSSC’s portal or contact the commission through its official channels.
