Novee announced on January 14, 2026, that it had emerged from stealth with $51.5 million in total funding. The company is pitching an enterprise platform for continuous, AI-driven penetration testing; the funding announcement and product launch describe its ambitions, but do not independently establish how well the product performs.
What Novee announced
Novee’s January 14, 2026 announcement named YL Ventures, Canaan Partners and Oren Zeev among its investors. The company describes its product as continuous AI penetration testing: software intended to search for vulnerabilities using attacker-like techniques rather than relying only on periodic assessments.
SecurityWeek reported that Novee was founded in May 2025 and that its Series A was raised within four months of founding. The funding announcement is therefore a report of money raised across several financings, not a single round announced at the time the company went public.
How the $51.5 million was reported
SecurityWeek broke the total into three financings. The amounts below are its reported figures; the three tranches add up to the $51.5 million total Novee announced.
#1 Best Overall
| Financing | Reported amount | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Seed | $8.5 million | May 2025 |
| Series A | $33 million | September 2025 |
| Venture debt | $10 million | December 2025 |
SecurityWeek reported the tranche breakdown in its January 14, 2026 coverage of Novee’s emergence from stealth. Novee’s launch announcement states the overall funding total and names investors. The sources do not provide detailed terms for each financing, so the reported amounts should not be read as a complete account of valuation, ownership, or debt terms.
What the penetration-testing platform is meant to do
Novee says its platform continuously probes enterprise systems for novel vulnerabilities, attack paths and complex business-logic weaknesses. The company says it simulates real-world attacker tactics, validates whether exploits work, offers remediation guidance and retests after fixes. SecurityWeek reported that Novee focuses on mid-size and large enterprises and has offices in Tel Aviv and New York City.
Those functions describe the intended product, not independently verified outcomes. In broad terms, the pitch is to make testing less dependent on an annual or otherwise periodic penetration test: keep looking for issues, establish whether a finding is exploitable, and check whether a fix addressed it. The available announcement materials do not establish comparative coverage, accuracy in customer environments, or that Novee outperforms conventional testing tools.
What is known about the performance claims
Novee said its proprietary model performed more than 55% better than Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude 4 Sonnet on constrained web-exploitation challenges. It also claimed accuracy of up to 90% on those challenges, compared with roughly 65% for general-purpose models. These are company-reported benchmark results, not independent findings.

The materials do not provide enough detail to assess the benchmark’s task selection, scoring, or reproducibility. The figures therefore cannot establish that the platform is more accurate in real-world deployments. Novee also described its model as trained for offensive security using real-world exploitation techniques, tools and workflows; that is the company’s account of its approach, not a separately validated technical assessment.
Customer and industry signals
In a July 23, 2026 release, Novee said it had dozens of paying enterprise customers approximately six months after launch and reported that IDC named it an IDC Innovator for autonomous penetration testing for DevSecOps. These are claims in a company release, not independently verified customer or market-share data. Novee’s release says IDC Innovators is neither an exhaustive evaluation nor a comparative ranking, so the recognition should not be interpreted as proof that Novee leads the market.
Rank #4
The January launch materials also reproduced a testimonial from Robert Kugler, Head of Security, IT and Compliance at Cresta. Kugler said traditional DAST tools had struggled to surface issues that mattered to the company, and that Novee found higher-quality issues, including complex vulnerabilities such as server-side request forgery. This is a customer testimonial carried in a press release, not an independent product evaluation.
Novee CEO Ido Geffen framed the company’s case this way in the January 14 announcement: “Attackers don’t wait for your annual pentest, and neither should your defense.”

What the funding story does—and does not—show
The announcement establishes that Novee disclosed $51.5 million in total funding and positioned itself as an enterprise security vendor focused on continuous, AI-driven penetration testing. SecurityWeek’s reporting supplies the timing and size of the three financings. The product descriptions, benchmark figures, customer count and testimonial offer context on the company’s pitch, but do not substitute for independent evidence of product effectiveness.
For businesses evaluating the category, the useful questions are practical: how testing scope is defined, how findings are validated, whether remediation guidance fits the organization’s systems, and how retesting works after a fix. The sources cited here do not provide pricing or enough technical and contractual detail to answer those procurement questions.
