What happened and when
Scroll reported on January 20, 2025, that the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) had released the Traffic Constable Mains hall ticket under Advertisement No. 1242/OSSC. The written examination was scheduled for January 25, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, with candidates asked to report at 2:00 pm. Those dates have passed. Scroll’s January 20, 2025 report is a historical announcement, not confirmation of a currently available download.

How candidates were told to download the hall ticket
Scroll’s report gave these steps for accessing the admit card at the time:
- Visit the OSSC website.
- Select the Traffic Constable Main admit-card link.
- Enter the requested login details and submit.
- Check the hall ticket, download it, and print a copy.
The report did not provide troubleshooting instructions for failed credentials or incorrect personal details. The cited sources also do not establish that the historic download page remains active.

What the OSSC notice said about admission letters
The recruitment notification said that eligible candidates could download admission letters from the Commission’s website. It also stated that exam dates, times, and venues would be communicated through the website and admission letter. In the notice’s words: “The Admission Letters can be downloaded by the eligible candidates by accessing the Commission’s website from time to time.” The notification was hosted by Prepp.

Scroll’s January 20, 2025 article said 533 candidates had been shortlisted for the Mains and that the recruitment drive aimed to fill 26 Traffic Constable posts. These are figures from that report, not a current count or an independently updated recruitment status.

For any current recruitment notice, examination schedule, or live admission-letter availability, use the OSSC website and its current notices. Neither Scroll’s historical announcement nor the recruitment notice establishes that the old Traffic Constable Mains download link is still usable.
