Reports published May 16, 2025, citing court documents obtained by TMZ, also described arrangements for their son Matteo, holiday scheduling and other financial terms. Garcia later characterized the lump sum as spousal support or alimony on her podcast; that was her description, distinct from the reports’ wording.
What the reported settlement says
Us Weekly and the San Francisco Chronicle reported on May 16, 2025, that Garcia and Chigvintsev settled their divorce privately through mediation in November 2024. Both outlets said their account of the financial terms came from court documents obtained by TMZ; the settlement agreement itself was not independently reviewed for this article.

| Child support | Garcia would pay Chigvintsev $3,500 per month for their son Matteo, according to the reports citing documents obtained by TMZ. |
| Lump-sum payment | $200,000, reportedly payable in two $100,000 installments. Garcia later called it spousal support or alimony on her podcast; that characterization was her own public description. |
| Speech therapy | Garcia would cover Matteo’s speech-therapy costs, according to the reported terms. |
| Extracurricular activities | The parents would share the expenses, according to the reports. |
| Major holidays | The parents would alternate major holidays. |
| Trusts | Us Weekly reported Garcia would receive two trusts formed in her name. |
The $3,500 monthly child-support amount and the $200,000 lump sum are separate reported terms, not one combined payment. The payment schedule and other details are reported terms rather than an independently verified reading of the agreement. Us Weekly’s May 16 report and the San Francisco Chronicle’s May 16 report both attribute the details to documents obtained by TMZ.
Why the $200,000 is described in two ways
The May 16 reports called the $200,000 a lump-sum payment. On the May 22, 2025 episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Garcia said, “Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony.” That is Garcia’s description of the payment, not a quotation from the settlement document. Us Weekly reported her podcast comments, including her separate explanation of child support.

Keeping the descriptions attributed matters: the published reports describe what the documents reportedly required, while Garcia supplied the alimony characterization in later public comments. The reports do not make the monthly child-support obligation the same thing as the lump sum.
What the parties said about the settlement and restraining orders
Us Weekly quoted Garcia’s representative as saying, “Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court.” The representative also said both parties decided to drop domestic-violence restraining orders against each other “in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively coparent their son.” The article did not name the representative. These are the representative’s stated reasons and should not be read as findings about the allegations.
How the divorce settlement relates to the criminal case
The divorce terms do not establish fault in a separate criminal matter. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley announced in September 2024 that her office would not pursue charges against Chigvintsev. The reporting describes an arrest and allegations, not a finding of guilt. Garcia later said her divorce was not about the August 2024 incident.

The couple reportedly reached their private mediation settlement in November 2024. The financial and parenting terms were reported publicly on May 16, 2025, months later. Garcia addressed public reaction on her May 22 podcast episode, saying, “Everyone’s had opinions about Artem and I’s divorce settlement. It’s everywhere.”
