Netflix’s March 2026 U.S. price increase affected all three standalone plans: Standard with ads rose to $8.99 a month, Standard to $19.99, and Premium to $26.99. But Netflix has not identified which plan might rise next—or announced another U.S. increase. Its policy says it periodically adjusts prices and tests plan options; that is not a forecast or a schedule.

These are U.S. standalone monthly prices reported in March 2026. They do not necessarily apply to other countries or to subscriptions billed through a partner bundle.

TechCrunch reported that new U.S. members faced the updated prices starting March 26, 2026. Existing subscribers were to move to the new price over the following months, with an email a month before their individual change. The Los Angeles Times also reported the three price changes.
Which Netflix plan might get more expensive next?
There is no evidence here that one U.S. plan is more likely than another to get the next increase. Since Netflix raised all three standalone tiers in March 2026 and says it periodically adjusts prices, each could be reviewed in the future. That does not mean another increase is scheduled, or that any particular plan has been selected.

Netflix’s investor-relations company profile says it periodically adjusts pricing and tests plans and price points to understand consumer demand. The company’s Help Center says price changes can reflect additions to content or product features, as well as local conditions such as taxes or inflation. Neither statement names the next plan or gives a date.
During Netflix’s January 20, 2026 earnings call, co-CEO Greg Peters said the Warner Bros. transaction did not change the company’s approach to pricing: “There is no impact or change to our approach and how we’re running the business in that regard.” His answer addressed the transaction’s effect on Netflix’s approach; it was not a prediction of the next increase. The earnings-call transcript records the exchange.

How to check whether your Netflix bill is going up
- Check the email address associated with your Netflix account. Netflix says it emails members one month before a price increase applies.
- Sign in to Netflix and look for an in-product message with the price-change details.
- Review your account’s plan price and payment history to confirm the amount and billing details.
- If you pay through a partner package or add-on, check the partner’s notice; Netflix says the partner sends the price-change notification in that case.
Netflix’s notification policy says the price change takes effect on the member’s billing date after the advance notice. The timing can therefore differ from one account to another.

Standard with ads costs less than the ad-free plans in the U.S. prices reported above, but it is not an identical viewing experience. Netflix says ads run during most shows and movies, while licensing restrictions make a small number of titles unavailable on the ad plan.

Before switching, compare the monthly price where you live, whether you are comfortable with ads, whether the titles you watch are available, and whether your device supports the plan. Some devices may not work with the ad plan if their Netflix app or software cannot be updated. The plan is also not offered in every region. Netflix’s ads-plan information explains availability and limitations.
Availability varies internationally: Netflix Investor Relations listed ad-supported plans in 12 markets in 2026 and said the company planned to add 15 more markets in 2027. Those market counts do not mean U.S. prices or plan options apply elsewhere. Netflix says its plans and pricing vary by country; check the plan price shown for your own account and region.
