In November 2008, EE Times reported that Negevtech Ltd. had received 30 days of protection from creditors from the Tel Aviv District Court, citing Israel’s Globes. The report described a Rehovot-based wafer-inspection equipment vendor facing reported debt of NIS 135 million; it does not establish what happened after the temporary order.
What the 2008 report says
Peter Clarke’s report for EE Times, published November 3, 2008, said the Tel Aviv District Court granted Negevtech 30 days of protection from creditors. EE Times attributed the news to Globes. It characterized Negevtech as a wafer-inspection equipment vendor based in Rehovot, Israel.
This was a report of a temporary court order, not a final account of the company’s restructuring or fate. The EE Times article does not establish whether Negevtech later reorganized, was sold, entered liquidation, or continued operating.
Financial circumstances reported
EE Times, reporting figures attributed to Globes, said Negevtech had NIS 135 million in debt, approximately US$36 million. The same account said sales had halved to US$16 million in 2007. These are historical figures reported in 2008, not current financial information.

Earlier financing and proposed control transaction
EE Times reported that Negevtech raised US$36 million in a fourth financing round in March 2006, at a company valuation of US$54.5 million. It also said Israel Growth Partners Acquisition Corp. moved in May 2008 to take control of Negevtech; ownership of as much as 51.3 percent was described as possible.
The report does not say whether that proposed transaction was completed. Neither the financing round nor the proposed control transaction establishes that the company was ultimately rescued or acquired.

What the report does not establish
The cited account offers no later update on Negevtech or the outcome of the 30-day order. It also does not provide a court document or a direct statement from the court or a named official. The order and financial details should therefore be understood as reported by EE Times, which attributed key information to Globes, rather than as independently confirmed findings in the article.
