NIACL’s 2024 Assistant recruitment offered 500 posts, but applications closed on January 1, 2025, and both scheduled exams have passed. The recruitment notice required a degree, English studied at a specified level and an age of 21–30 years on December 1, 2024. Here are the notice details for candidates checking the past exercise; this is not an open application.
NIACL Assistant Recruitment 2024: key dates and vacancies
The New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) advertised 500 Assistant posts in its 2024 recruitment exercise. As reported at the time, the application window ran from December 17, 2024, through January 1, 2025. The scheduled preliminary and main examinations were held—or, as scheduled, set for—January 27 and March 2, 2025, respectively. Those dates have passed.
| Recruitment milestone | Date |
|---|---|
| Applications opened | December 17, 2024 |
| Application deadline | January 1, 2025 |
| Tier I preliminary online examination | January 27, 2025 |
| Tier II main online examination | March 2, 2025 |
One contemporaneous Scroll article body sentence gave the deadline as January 1, 2024, conflicting with its own headline and deck. India Today and NDTV also reported January 1, 2025, so that is the deadline used here.
Who was eligible to apply?
Contemporaneous reports of the recruitment notice said candidates needed to meet the following criteria:

- English: English as a subject at SSC, HSC, Intermediate or graduation level.
- Age: 21 to 30 years as of December 1, 2024. The notice provided age relaxation for reserved categories; the applicable amount depended on the candidate’s category.
These are criteria for the 2024 exercise, not a statement of eligibility for any later NIACL recruitment. Applicants assessing a future notice should use its own cutoff date and category rules.

These amounts relate to the historical recruitment notice and should not be assumed to apply to a future vacancy.

The 2024 application route is no longer a live opportunity. For a future exercise, start at NIACL’s official website and use its recruitment information to locate the applicable notice and application portal. Read that notice in full before applying, since dates, eligibility, fees and selection stages can change. The original notice was linked by contemporaneous coverage, but the details here are based on those reports rather than an independently reviewed official notice.
