A Volkner Performance S displayed at the 2022 Düsseldorf Caravan Salon carried a LaFerrari in a central garage and was reported to cost €5,311,000 including taxes. That was about US$5.7 million at the time, according to New Atlas. The figure describes that show configuration—not a universal price for the Performance S or a verified ranking of every RV sold or displayed worldwide in 2022.
What the €5.31 million price included
New Atlas reported the complete displayed vehicle, including its LaFerrari, at €5,311,000 including taxes. Its price breakdown put the motorhome alone at just over €2 million and the LaFerrari at about €3 million. The article’s roughly US$5.7 million figure was a contemporary conversion, not a current exchange-rate estimate.

New Atlas described it as the most expensive RV it covered in 2022. That is a publication-specific description; available sources do not establish that it was definitively the most expensive RV in the world that year.
How the Performance S carries a LaFerrari
The vehicle was a custom-configured Performance S with a central garage, rather than an ordinary motorhome with a standard car rack. Volkner says it offers individually configurable builds and custom garage solutions, including a partial garage extension for a LaFerrari. The manufacturer’s current Performance S page lists a 12.00 m length and describes the central garage.

New Atlas reported that the show vehicle was based on a 12 m Volvo bus and had a 503 hp rear engine and air suspension. Those details describe the 2022 display build, not necessarily every Performance S.
The roof deck and the garage terrace are different features
The particular show vehicle had a 12.5-square-metre (135-square-foot) roof deck, reported as designed for six to eight people. Separately, Volkner says the garage platform can serve as a terrace when the carried car is unloaded: “Another practical aspect is the use of the garage platform as a terrace when the car is unloaded.” The roof deck is the specific feature reported on the show build; the garage-platform terrace is a separate use of the loading platform.

What was inside the 2022 show build
New Atlas described a bespoke interior with an L-shaped kitchen counter and bar seating. Reported equipment included a three-burner induction cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and separate 12-bottle wine cooler. The living area had 5.1 surround sound, with a daybed at the front and a 180 × 200 cm bed at the rear. These are reported details of this customer configuration, not a standard-equipment list.

Energy-system figures illustrate why the exact build matters. New Atlas reported 2,000 W of solar and a 20 kWh lithium battery for the 2022 display vehicle. Volkner’s current product page lists options of up to 2,800 Wp of solar and up to 50 kWh of battery capacity. The current-page maximums are not evidence that the 2022 vehicle had those larger capacities.
