Check the specific program’s eligibility and application status before relying on any scholarship announcement.
What was the 2025 Google scholarship offer?
The headline referred to Google Career Certificates: online, self-paced professional training delivered through Coursera, rather than a conventional university tuition award. TechJuice reported that the offer involved Google, Tech Valley, and InnoVista. Its article listed five certificate areas:
- Data Analytics
- IT Support
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Marketing
- UX Design
TechJuice reported that the certificates were worth “up to $1,000.” Treat that as the value reported for the 2025 offer, not a confirmed current award amount. Tech Valley’s program page contains conflicting scholarship values and counts, so those figures cannot establish the terms of a current intake. Who could apply, and when did applications close?
For the historical call, TechJuice reported that applicants had to be at least 18 and hold a valid Pakistani CNIC. It gave May 30, 2025, as the deadline. That date has passed; these reported requirements should not be assumed to apply to any later cohort. TechJuice’s announcement

Are applications open now?
Tech Valley’s Google Career Certificates page currently displays “Applications Closed.” The page’s general program description and course listings do not, by themselves, show that a Pakistan-wide application round is open. Look for a dated call with its own eligibility rules, deadline, and application instructions before applying. Tech Valley program page
What later scholarship announcements cover
Tech Valley has announced later initiatives, but their stated geography and eligible groups differ from the 2025 offer. The announcements do not establish that every Pakistani resident can apply or that applications are open now.

| Announcement | Scope described | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| October 2, 2025 | Tech Valley said the Government of Punjab, Google, and Tech Valley launched more than 20,000 scholarships for students enrolled in public sector universities and district colleges across Punjab. It reported a target of at least 40% female enrollment and nine specializations, plus AI Essentials, Prompting Essentials, and Agile Essentials. | Confirm whether a current call exists and whether your institution and course are eligible. This was a Punjab higher-education initiative, not evidence that the May 2025 call reopened. |
| April 1, 2026 | Tech Valley announced a Punjab agreement for 100,000 Google Career Certificates scholarships, involving Tech Valley, the Punjab Higher Education Department, and Punjab Higher Education Commission. | The announcement does not establish current application status or eligibility for people outside the specified program. Follow the current call for rules and application steps. |
The figures in the table are announcement claims from Tech Valley, not independently audited counts of awards, completions, or outcomes. They describe different initiatives and should not be added together or treated as the size of one nationwide intake. How to check whether a later call fits you
- Identify the issuing program. Confirm that the announcement is for Google Career Certificates and note its publication date and partner organizations.
- Match the geography and institution. A Punjab call for students at public universities or district colleges does not automatically cover applicants in other provinces, private institutions, or people outside those student groups.
- Read the dated application notice. Verify the deadline, age or identity-document requirements, eligible courses, and application link in that specific notice rather than carrying over terms from 2025.
- Check the status at the application destination. If the page says applications are closed, do not treat a general program description or an older announcement as an active application round.
What the scholarship does—and does not—establish
The 2025 report described free access to self-paced online courses and a digital certificate. It was not described as a university tuition scholarship. The available announcements do not establish a standard device benefit or requirement for the general program; Tech Valley’s separate August 2026 Balochistan AI Launchpad story mentioned Chromebooks for that distinct cohort, which should not be generalized to other applicants.
