The venue pairs its food offer with hip-hop-inspired decor, booth seating, a bar and alfresco dining; its current opening hours need checking because the official page lists two conflicting schedules.
What Milky Lane brought to Elizabeth Quay
Milky Lane’s first Perth location opened at Elizabeth Quay on Friday, 13 May 2022, according to PerthNow’s 12 May 2022 report. Founder Christian Avant told the publication that the business had signed a master franchise agreement about 18 months earlier and found the Elizabeth Quay site around 12 months before opening.
At the time, Avant described the central venue as a base for planned northern and southern Perth locations. That was an expansion plan reported in 2022, not confirmation that additional Perth sites opened or remain planned.
The opening drew substantial advance interest: Avant told PerthNow that almost 10,000 people had booked for the opening week by the Tuesday before launch, and that the first couple of weeks were “pretty much booked out.” This is a figure from the opening period, not an indication of present-day demand.

Food, decor and waterfront setting
Milky Lane describes its Elizabeth Quay offer as burgers, cocktails and desserts, set against hip-hop graffiti-style murals and neon. The venue’s listed features include a DJ booth, bar, booth seating, a private dining area and alfresco seating with waterfront views. These are the venue’s own descriptions, rather than an independent assessment of the experience.
Avant explained the design focus in the opening report: “So everything we design always has that in mind: is it aesthetically pleasing and does it taste amazing? If it ticks those two boxes, it gets on the menu.” He also said the team flew over from Sydney to create the murals.
The venue says its menu includes vegetarian and vegan options and that its specials menu is updated monthly. Menus and dietary suitability can change, so check directly with Milky Lane about current dishes, ingredients and cross-contact concerns before ordering. No particular burger or dessert is treated here as a guaranteed current menu item.
Where is Milky Lane at Elizabeth Quay?
The official Elizabeth Quay venue page lists the address as 1 Barrack Square, Perth WA 6000, and the phone number as 0456 663 745. The page also provides links to the menu, delivery and bookings.
What are the opening hours?
The venue’s official page gives two different sets of hours, so neither should be treated as definitive without checking. Its main schedule lists Monday–Thursday 11:30 am–9:00 pm, Friday–Saturday 11:00 am–midnight, and Sunday 11:00 am–9:00 pm. The FAQ on that same page instead lists Sunday–Thursday noon–10:30 pm and Friday–Saturday noon–midnight.
Because these schedules conflict, call 0456 663 745 or check the venue’s current listing before setting out, especially for a late visit.

Milky Lane offers bookings, and its booking page lists Elizabeth Quay as a selectable venue. Check the booking system for current availability and party-size details. The venue also lists alfresco seating with waterfront views; availability may depend on conditions and the specific visit, so confirm with the venue if outdoor seating is essential.
