Mercor announced a $350 million Series C on October 27, 2025, at a company valuation of $10 billion. The AI-focused labor marketplace said that valuation was five times its Series B valuation. Felicis led the round, with Benchmark, General Catalyst, and Robinhood Ventures participating, according to Mercor’s announcement.

What Mercor announced

The financing announcement set out three headline terms: a $350 million Series C, a $10 billion valuation, and Felicis as the lead investor. Mercor also named Benchmark, General Catalyst, and Robinhood Ventures as participants. These are terms Mercor reported for this specific round, not a complete account of investor ownership or the financing documents.

What the $10 billion valuation means

The $10 billion figure is the valuation Mercor said was assigned to the company in the Series C transaction. It is not the amount Mercor raised: the announced funding was $350 million. Nor does a transaction valuation by itself establish the company’s revenue, profitability, cash balance, or future value.

Mercor characterized the valuation as five times its Series B valuation. That is the company’s comparison; the announcement does not provide a separate calculation or enough information to derive the earlier valuation independently. It also does not establish that revenue or operating performance increased fivefold.

The announcement does not detail preferred-share rights, the degree of dilution, each investor’s ownership percentage, or how Mercor planned to allocate the proceeds. Those terms cannot be inferred from the headline valuation and funding amount.

Who invested in the Series C?

Mercor named Felicis as the lead investor, with Benchmark, General Catalyst, and Robinhood Ventures participating. These are the investors identified for the October 2025 round in the dated announcement.

Investor lists can differ depending on whether they refer to one financing or the company’s backers overall. Mercor’s current newsroom lists Benchmark, Felicis, General Catalyst, and Menlo Ventures among its backers. That company-wide list is not the Series C participant list: Robinhood Ventures is named in the round announcement, while Menlo Ventures is not named as a participant there.

What Mercor does

Mercor describes its business as connecting domain experts with AI labs and enterprises, using specialist knowledge to help train frontier AI models. Its mission page and newsroom present the company in those terms.

TechCrunch reported that Mercor supplied specialist experts for AI training and charged an hourly finder’s fee and matching rate for their work. That is reporting about its business model, not a current public price list or a complete description of the company’s revenue.

What this announcement does—and does not—establish

  • It establishes: Mercor announced $350 million in Series C funding at a $10 billion valuation on October 27, 2025, and identified the lead and participating investors.
  • It attributes: the five-times comparison with Series B to Mercor, rather than presenting it as an independently calculated performance measure.
  • It does not establish: investor ownership percentages, the round’s detailed terms, proceeds allocation, or whether the company has raised another round since. Mercor’s newsroom still lists the announcement, but that listing does not show that no later financing occurred.

For a reader evaluating the news, the most useful distinction is between capital raised and valuation: $350 million is the announced financing amount; $10 billion is the transaction valuation reported by Mercor. Neither figure alone predicts an investment return or guarantees what the business will be worth later.
