Mattel announced two 1:64-scale Hot Wheels collectibles for San Diego Comic-Con 2025: a Back to the Future 40th-anniversary set and a Jaws 50th-anniversary collectible. Each had an announced suggested retail price of $32 in 2025; that is not a current price or confirmation of availability.
What the two Hot Wheels collectibles include
| Collectible | Models and display details | Anniversary | Announced 2025 suggested retail price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Set | A DeLorean time machine and Dr. E. Brown’s Enterprises transport truck, accompanied by a Twin Pines Mall diorama. The report describes display-oriented packaging. | 40th anniversary of Back to the Future | $32 per set, as reported for the 2025 announcement |
| Jaws 50th Anniversary | Separate die-cast models of the Orca and the shark, presented in packaging with 1970s design cues and ocean imagery. | 50th anniversary of Jaws | $32 per collectible, as reported for the 2025 announcement |
Both were described as 1:64-scale collectibles. The prices are the original suggested retail figures reported in the SDCC coverage, not current market quotes.
When and where Mattel planned to sell them
For SDCC 2025, Mattel planned to display the exclusives at booth #3029 and sell merchandise at booth #2945. The report said most items were scheduled to appear on MattelCreations.com on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9 a.m. Pacific. These are event plans announced for 2025; they do not establish that either collectible is available now.
What is known about current prices and availability
The available reporting establishes the products’ original announced price and planned 2025 sales channels, but not current stock, resale prices, or a present-day listing. Anyone looking to buy should confirm that a listing is for the specific SDCC anniversary collectible, check the seller and item details, and verify the price and availability at the time of purchase.

Why Mattel tied the sets to these anniversaries
The 2025 releases marked 40 years since Back to the Future and 50 years since Jaws. Nick Karamanos, Mattel’s senior vice president of Mattel Creations & Entertainment Partnerships, said the company worked with its creative teams to celebrate the films’ iconic moments and connect with fans through collectibles.
