She called the video a rallying cry for women in Web3; its deliberately earnest crypto lyrics also drew attention to an unapproved cover, according to the band’s frontman.
What song did Randi Zuckerberg parody?
Randi Zuckerberg, Mark Zuckerberg’s sister, posted the video on February 28, 2022. It reworked Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” into a crypto and Web3 parody. Contemporary coverage described it as her second crypto-themed parody that month, after an earlier take on Adele’s “Hello.” Indy100’s March 4, 2022 report covered the video and its lyrics; Web3 Is Going Great also identified it as the second parody.
What do the crypto lyrics mean?
The central lyric, “we’re all gonna make it,” echoes WAGMI, an acronym used in crypto communities to express confidence that participants will eventually succeed. The parody also included crypto jargon such as DYOR (“do your own research”) and the phrase “carpe the crypto diem,” as reported by The Brag.
The concept paired a familiar rock anthem with the language of Web3. Zuckerberg’s post, reproduced by recording studio Dubway Studios, described the performance as a “rallying cry for the women of web3.” She wrote: “A decade ago, I sang this song on Broadway. Today I sing this song, surrounded by new friends, as a rallying cry for the women of web3. Together, we can accomplish anything. And have fun doing it!” Dubway’s March 17, 2022 account describes the recording session and reproduces her post.

Why did Dee Snider object?
NME reported that Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider said he had not authorized the cover and quoted his negative response to it. That is a reported objection, not a court ruling: the available coverage does not establish the recording’s legal status or whether the dispute was later resolved. NME’s March 4, 2022 report covers his reaction.

No. The video was a historical parody posted in February 2022, not a current announcement about a cryptocurrency or a named crypto company. The reports cited here do not establish that it was sponsored or that Zuckerberg was compensated. The “skin-crawlingly horrible” wording in the headline is an aesthetic judgment, not an attributed quote or a documented measure of audience opinion.
The earlier Adele parody was reported in February 2022 by Gizmodo. Neither that report nor the contemporary coverage cited here supplies a reliable audience-reaction figure that would show broad agreement about the video.
