The exams have since taken place, so candidates cannot treat the preliminary hall ticket as a current download or the exam dates as upcoming. For retained recruitment documents, start at LIC’s official Careers recruitment page; it lists a call-letter download link, but does not establish that archived preliminary call letters remain accessible.
Where to find the official LIC call-letter link
Open LIC’s Careers recruitment page and look for “Recruitment of AAO (Generalists/Specialists/Assistant Engineers) 2025.” Use the call-letter link shown on that recruitment page if it remains available. LIC’s notification directed candidates to download call letters through the Careers section of its website, and said download intimation would also be sent by email or SMS.
The current public page shows a call-letter download link, but that alone does not confirm that every candidate’s archived preliminary call letter can still be retrieved. If a specific login or archive link does not work, check the official recruitment page for retained notices and contact LIC through its published channels.
How the 2025 call-letter download was meant to work
For the 2025 online examination, LIC said candidates would need their registration number or roll number and password or date of birth. The notification specified that call letters would be available from seven days before the online examination. Those instructions describe the 2025 cycle; they do not mean that the preliminary call letter is still available now.
- Visit LIC’s Careers recruitment page and open the 2025 AAO/AE recruitment entry.
- Select the call-letter download link, if it is still available.
- Enter the registration number or roll number and password or date of birth.
- Save the call letter if the system provides access. The Indian Express advised candidates at the time to download and print the admit card.
LIC AAO and AE exam dates and vacancies
The 2025 preliminary examination was scheduled for 3 October, and the mains examination for 8 November. Both dates are in the past.

The 760-vacancy figure in The Indian Express report covers AAO posts only: 350 Generalist and 410 Specialist. Adding the 81 AE vacancies reported by Scroll gives 841 posts across the three role groups. These are vacancy counts, not the number of candidates or call letters.

What candidates had to bring to the examination
LIC’s notification required candidates to bring the call letter and an original photo identity document, along with a photocopy of the same ID. The name on the ID had to match the name on the call letter. The notification listed examples including a PAN card, passport, driving licence, voter ID, bank passbook with photograph, Aadhaar card with photograph, employee ID, and specified institutional or official photo IDs. It said e-Aadhaar and ration cards were not valid for this verification process.
Candidates arriving after the reporting time stated on their call letter were not to be admitted. These were instructions for the 2025 examination, not a statement of requirements for other LIC or recruitment exams.
