What happened to the 2025 registration window?
Scroll’s October 3, 2025 announcement said candidates could apply from October 3 through October 17, with corrections available through October 22. These are historical dates, not an open application period. The official MPOnline portal identifies the matching notice as “Subedar(Steno) and ASI-2025.” Scroll’s dated announcement and the official MPOnline notice page provide the available reference points.
What posts and terms were reported?
Scroll reported 29 Subedar (Stenographer) posts and 109 Assistant Sub-Inspector posts. It also reported an initial exam date of December 10, 2025, with shifts from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. These are figures and schedule details from the news report; the official rulebook PDF could not be inspected here, so they should not be treated as verified final terms.
The same report listed a fee of ₹500 for unreserved candidates and ₹250 for OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwD candidates. Those amounts are likewise historical reporting, not independently confirmed final fees. Consult the official notice and linked rulebook for the authoritative fee, eligibility, age limits, reservation rules and post-specific qualifications.

How to find the official notice and rulebook
- Open the MPOnline ESB application page.
- Locate the notice titled “Subedar(Steno) and ASI-2025” and follow its rulebook link for the recruitment’s detailed conditions.
- For any later recruitment or fresh application period, rely on a current official notice rather than the dates in the October 2025 report.
What applicants should know about the form
The official portal says applicants should keep their application number and provide an email ID for application-related information. It also says corrections during the stated correction period are available only for successfully completed forms with the examination fee paid. Since the reported correction window ended in 2025, these instructions do not mean that corrections remain available now.

Its schedule page labels dates tentative, and it does not establish the schedule or conditions for the Subedar (Stenographer) and ASI notice discussed here. Check the notice title carefully before relying on a date or requirement. The separate MPESB examination schedule is not a substitute for the matching rulebook.
