It was listed at $1.1 million in 2021, then reportedly sold for $990,000 including fees at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction in January 2025. That distinction matters: the first figure was an asking price; the second was a reported auction result.
What happened to the Hoonitruck?
Road & Track reported on January 27, 2025, that the Hoonitruck sold for $990,000 including fees at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction. That is the latest transaction located here; the available reporting does not identify the buyer or establish whether the truck has since been resold. No current offer is confirmed.
The earlier $1.1 million figure was an asking price, not a completed sale. Road & Track and Car and Driver reported that LBI Limited listed the truck at that price in 2021. The two figures describe different points in the truck’s history, not competing current offers.
- 2021: LBI Limited asking price of $1.1 million, as reported by Road & Track and Car and Driver.
- January 2025: $990,000 sale including fees at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, as reported by Road & Track.
The reported result does not establish the hammer bid or provide a primary auction record. It should therefore be described as the reported price including fees, not as a hammer price.

What is Ken Block’s Hoonitruck?
The Hoonitruck is a heavily reworked 1977 Ford F-150 built for Gymkhana Ten, not a stock vintage pickup. Hoonigan announced it on October 24, 2018, and said the project also honored a similar truck owned by Block’s father—the pickup Block learned to drive at age 15. Hoonigan’s announcement explains the project’s origin.
Its performance figures help explain why ordinary F-150 price comparisons miss the point. Hoonigan’s specification sheet lists a custom-tuned, twin-turbo 3.5-liter Ford Performance/Roush Yates EcoBoost V6 rated at 914 hp at 7,400 rpm and 702 lb-ft at 6,450 rpm. Those are Hoonigan’s published figures, not an independent test result.

Why the price is not a normal F-150 comparison
The Hoonitruck’s reported auction result reflects a unique, highly customized Gymkhana vehicle with a documented connection to Ken Block—not the market value of an ordinary 1977 F-150. Its bespoke engineering, competition equipment and one-off bodywork make stock-truck price comparisons unhelpful. The reported sale price also includes fees, so it should not be treated as a pure hammer bid.
