JEE Main 2025 took place in January and April sessions. The date groups in NTA’s admit-card notice titles are not a full shift-by-shift schedule.

JEE Main 2025 was held in two sessions: January and April. It is now a past exam cycle, not current date guidance; the National Testing Agency (NTA) site has moved on to 2026 notices and score-card activity. Check NTA’s current site for the active cycle.

What were the JEE Main 2025 session dates?

NTA’s official notices archive identifies Session 1 as January 2025 and Session 2 as April 2025. The archive includes the schedule notices as well as later admit-card, answer-key and result notices. View NTA’s 2025 public-notice archive.

Session Month identified in NTA’s archive Exam-date groups shown in admit-card notice titles
Session 1 January 2025 January 22–24 and January 28–30
Session 2 April 2025 April 2–4 and April 7–9

These ranges come from the date-bearing titles of NTA admit-card notices. They are groups of exam dates, not a complete shift-by-shift calendar, and do not mean every candidate sat on every listed date.

How to verify an individual candidate’s date and shift

The archive listing alone does not establish which paper, date or shift applied to a particular candidate, or whether an assignment was later changed. For an individual timetable, use the original session schedule and the candidate’s admit-card notice rather than inferring an assignment from a date range.

  1. Open the relevant 2025 Session 1 or Session 2 notice listing in NTA’s public-notice archive.
  2. Find the original schedule notice and the admit-card notice for that session; read the notice itself rather than relying only on the listing title.
  3. Use the candidate-specific admit card to confirm the assigned paper, date, shift and any rescheduling information.

Where to check dates for the current JEE Main cycle

Because the 2025 schedule is historical, candidates preparing for an upcoming exam should consult NTA’s current notices instead of using these dates. NTA’s homepage now displays 2026 activity, including notices and score-card information. Go to the current JEE Main site and follow the notices for the applicable cycle.
