Why the 2025 amount is not the current Wimbledon champion prize
Wimbledon’s prize money changed in 2026. The ATP Tour reported a £3,600,000 singles champion prize for that edition and total tournament prize money of £64.2 million, up 20% from 2025. Those are 2026 figures and should not be attributed to Sinner’s 2025 win. See the ATP Tour’s 2026 prize-money overview.

Was Sinner’s Wimbledon payout a record?
The available ATP Tour prize breakdowns establish that the 2025 champion prize was £3,000,000, but do not establish an all-time historical record. Calling it a “record” would require a complete, comparable history of Wimbledon singles champion prizes. The defensible description is that Sinner won the published 2025 champion prize of £3,000,000.
