The Guardian estimated Serrano’s earnings at about $8 million, and ESPN reported that Serrano said her purse was higher than Taylor’s reported amount. Neither figure is a verified final-pay total: Texas regulators denied an open-records request for the contract pay sheet, according to The Guardian’s live coverage.
What were Taylor and Serrano reportedly paid?
The widely reported estimates were $6.1 million for Taylor and about $8 million for Serrano. The Guardian reported both figures in 2024, while ESPN also referenced Taylor’s reported amount and Serrano’s statement that her purse was higher. Why the exact amounts are not settled
The reported figures have not been verified against the bout’s contract pay sheet. The Guardian said Texas regulators denied an open-records request for that document and directed the requester to the promoters. The available reporting therefore does not establish either fighter’s final total compensation.
A separate World Boxing News report attributed a much lower figure—$300,000 for each fighter—to WBA purse listings. That report said the amounts could be guarantees and that the paperwork’s meaning was unclear. A guarantee or listing is not necessarily the same as total earnings, so it does not resolve the higher estimates.

What happened in the 2024 rematch?
Taylor and Serrano fought on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Their bout was the co-main event of the Jake Paul–Mike Tyson card and streamed live on Netflix. Taylor won by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 95–94, according to Netflix’s event recap. Netflix’s event announcement also identifies the card and matchup.

- $6.1 million: Taylor’s reported 2024 earnings estimate; not verified against the contract pay sheet.

Keep later Taylor–Serrano fights separate
Taylor and Serrano later fought a trilogy bout in 2025. Figures and coverage about that separate fight do not confirm what either boxer earned in the November 2024 rematch. For example, Netflix reported that the trilogy fight’s main event averaged 4.2 million U.S. viewers per minute, citing VideoAmp and Netflix in 2025; that audience figure is not a purse amount.
