She later explained that wearing diamonds again was part of reclaiming a sense of agency after the attack changed how she dressed and what she kept at home. The ring’s maker and independently verified value have not been established in the sources reviewed.
What happened at the Paris trial
Kardashian testified at the Paris Assize Court on May 13, 2025, in the case concerning the October 2016 robbery, during which jewelry was stolen from her. Hindustan Times reported her account of fearing she would die and described details of the assault as testimony. Those details are reported accounts, not independently checked excerpts from a court transcript.
Coverage said the courtroom testimony itself was not filmed. Later footage in The Kardashians showed preparation and scenes after the testimony, so it should not be mistaken for video recorded inside court. The Independent covered the distinction.
How many carats was the ring, and what is known about it?
Hindustan Times described the ring Kardashian wore at court as 22 carats and the ring stolen in 2016 as 20 carats. Its account of an insurance payout as the source of the replacement ring’s purchase came from Page Six; that purchase history is secondhand reporting, not independently confirmed here. The coverage reviewed does not establish the 22-carat ring’s designer, model, setting, or verified current value.

Other jewelry reported as part of the court look should be kept separate from the ring. The News International described a necklace as 52.17 total carats, set with 80 diamonds, and reported its value as $3 million. Those figures concern the necklace, not Kardashian’s ring. Grazia Middle East reported an $8,000 value for an ear cuff attributed to Briony Raymond; that is an outfit detail reported in 2025, not a current price quote. The News International’s account and Grazia Middle East’s coverage also mention other jewelry credits, which are secondary-source fashion attributions.
Why did she wear diamonds to court?
In coverage of a December 4, 2025 episode of The Kardashians, The News International reproduced Kardashian’s explanation that she wanted to reclaim her choices after the robbery. She said, “They’re not gonna take my power,” and described how the attack had affected her habits: “For years, I didn’t wear diamonds … it changed the way that I operate in my home, for what I keep in my home.”

The same article quoted her saying she wanted to wear what she wanted, including the line, “I want to taunt the f— out of these losers.” These are published reproductions of television dialogue, not independently checked against an episode transcript. Read in that context, the ring was more than an expensive-looking accessory: Kardashian framed wearing diamonds as taking back personal agency. The News International reported her comments.
