Beyoncé’s touring and music operation has the clearest large-scale financial evidence: Forbes reported more than $400 million in Cowboy Carter Tour ticket sales and nearly $600 million grossed by the earlier Renaissance World Tour. Those are tour grosses, not company profits. For Jay-Z’s businesses, the available reporting establishes notable spirits-stake transactions but does not provide comparable sales or profit figures. So the fairest comparison is a ranking of documented financial signals, not a definitive ranking of which artist’s businesses are most lucrative.
What the ranking can—and cannot—measure
Private-company revenue and profit figures are not available on a comparable basis for the businesses associated with either artist. The figures that are public measure different things: tour ticket sales, merchandise sales, an estimated catalog value, personal earnings, personal net worth, and stake-sale transactions. They cannot be added together or treated as equivalent measures of business performance.

The ranking below therefore starts with the strongest disclosed operating-scale evidence. It does not claim that the entries are ordered by profit, owner take-home income, or total business value.
Ranked by the strongest documented scale signals
| Rank | Business or asset | Reported figure or evidence | What it measures |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Beyoncé’s touring and music operation, produced through Parkwood Entertainment | More than $400 million in Cowboy Carter Tour ticket sales, attributed by Forbes to Pollstar in 2025; Forbes estimated $50 million in merchandise sold at shows. The earlier Renaissance World Tour grossed nearly $600 million, according to Forbes’s 2025 report about the 2023 tour. | Tour ticket gross and a separate estimate of merchandise sales. These figures describe different tours and measures; neither states Beyoncé’s profit or Parkwood’s revenue. |
| 2 | Beyoncé’s music catalog | Estimated at $300 million by sources cited by Forbes in 2023. | An estimate of asset value, not annual income or a sale price disclosed in the reporting. |
| 3 | Jay-Z’s spirits interests | Forbes reported that Jay-Z sold 50% of Armand de Brignac to LVMH in 2021 and a majority of his D’Usse stake to Bacardi in 2023. | Documented ownership transactions. The reporting considered here does not give comparable current brand sales, operating profits, or Jay-Z’s realized proceeds. |
Ranks 1 and 2 are evidence of different kinds, and rank 3 has no disclosed comparable dollar figure. The order is useful for seeing what has been quantified—not for claiming that a tour, a catalog, and spirits holdings are directly comparable investments.

Why Beyoncé’s touring operation leads on measurable scale
Forbes’s December 30, 2025 account describes Parkwood Entertainment as a company Beyoncé founded in 2010. Parkwood manages her career and produces her music, documentaries, and concerts. Forbes says the company fronts production costs, allowing it to capture more of the back-end economics. That integrated role helps explain why the tour figures are relevant to the scale of her operation, but it does not disclose Parkwood’s profit or valuation.
The tour numbers need to stay in their own lanes. The Cowboy Carter figure is ticket sales, while the $50 million merchandise figure is a Forbes estimate of sales at shows. The Renaissance figure is the gross for a separate tour. None tells readers how much remained after production, touring, staffing, taxes, or other costs.
Rank #2
Forbes also estimated Beyoncé’s 2025 pre-tax earnings at $148 million, combining touring, catalog, and sponsorship income. That is an estimate of one person’s earnings across multiple sources—not Parkwood revenue, tour profit, or a company valuation.
Jay-Z’s business record is real, but the figures do not support a profit ranking
Forbes identifies Jay-Z as a Roc Nation co-founder and reports that he has held stakes in Tidal and the 40/40 Club. It also documents the Armand de Brignac and D’Usse transactions above. These facts establish business involvement and changes in ownership; they do not establish present-day revenue or profits for those companies or brands.

A stake sale is not itself a measure of ongoing profitability. The transaction information cited here does not state Jay-Z’s realized proceeds, and a sale of part or most of a stake does not mean the business stopped operating. It would be misleading to assign the brands a numerical place against Beyoncé’s disclosed tour grosses without the missing comparable figures.
Other Beyoncé ventures and their current status
Forbes identifies Cécred hair care and SirDavis whiskey as other Beyoncé ventures, but the cited reporting does not provide comparable current revenue for either. It also identifies Ivy Park apparel, which was discontinued in 2024; it should not be presented as an active current growth business.
Rank #4
- VARIOS INTERPRETES THE GREAT GATSBY
These ventures belong in the comparison because they are part of the business portfolio, but the available figures do not support ranking them by sales or profit. The same restraint applies to Jay-Z’s other named holdings where no comparable financial results are reported.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do not confuse business scale with personal wealth
Forbes estimated Beyoncé’s net worth at $800 million in December 2023. Its real-time profile put her net worth at $1 billion as of October 6, 2026. Both are personal-wealth estimates at different dates, not valuations of Parkwood or any single brand. They should not be read as revenue earned in a year or cash available from a particular sale.

Forbes’s 2025 earnings estimate of $148 million is also distinct: it covers estimated pre-tax personal earnings for that year, rather than net worth or company revenue. Keeping these measures separate is essential to any fair comparison.
How to read claims that one portfolio is “more lucrative”
- Check the metric: ticket gross, merchandise sales, personal earnings, asset value, and sale proceeds answer different questions.
- Check the period: a one-tour total is not an annual figure, and a one-time transaction does not show recurring business income.
- Check who receives the money: gross sales are not the same as the artist’s share or a company’s profit. Parkwood’s production role may affect how economics are captured, but its financial statements are not disclosed here.
- Check the status: active ventures, discontinued brands, and sold stakes should not be described as if they were equivalent current holdings.
On the evidence available, Beyoncé’s touring and music operation is the largest measurable operating engine in this comparison. That is a conclusion about disclosed scale—not proof that her overall portfolio is more profitable than Jay-Z’s, or that any particular business has the higher valuation.
