What the JPSC JET 2024 notification covers
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) advertised Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2024 as Advertisement No. 08/2025. The test is intended to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor appointments and admission to Ph.D. programs at universities and colleges in Jharkhand. Allied-subject clarification for four subjects
JPSC’s November 7, 2025 notice identified allied subjects for four core subjects: Life Science; History; Labour and Social Welfare (Social Work); and Home Science. It said the other provisions of the advertisement remained unchanged. Applicants deciding which subject to select should compare their postgraduate subject with the exact mapping in that notice and the full advertisement rather than relying on a general subject list.
What is known about the examination date
JPSC’s examination calendar, published January 6, 2026, listed March 29, 2026, as the tentative date for the JET-2024 examination, with Paper I and Paper II. A tentative calendar date is not evidence that the examination actually took place then. The official material available for this article does not establish whether JPSC subsequently held or rescheduled the test, or published a result by October 8, 2026.
