Armadin announced its launch on March 10, 2026, with $189.9 million in combined Seed and Series A funding. That is the launch-era figure—not the company’s current reported total: after announcing a $255.5 million Series B on October 1, 2026, Armadin said it had raised $445 million in total.

How much funding did Armadin launch with?

Armadin said it secured $189.9 million across its Seed and Series A rounds when it launched on March 10, 2026. The company described the capital as support for preparing organizations for AI-driven threats. The launch announcement was titled “Armadin Secures Record-Breaking $189.9M in Seed and Series A Funding to Combat the Era of AI-Driven Hyperattacks”.

Who led the launch rounds?

Ballistic Ventures led the Seed round. Accel led the Series A, with Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures participating; 8VC and Ballistic Ventures also made follow-on investments, according to Armadin.

How much has Armadin raised since launch?

On October 1, 2026, Armadin announced a $255.5 million Series B co-led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Accel. Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint participated, alongside returning investors 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures. Armadin said the round brought its total funding to $445 million. The announcement was distributed via PR Newswire.

TechCrunch separately reported that the Series B accompanied a valuation of more than $2.5 billion; that valuation was reported by TechCrunch, rather than stated here as a company-confirmed figure.

What does Armadin do?

Armadin describes itself as an AI-native cybersecurity company. Its launch materials characterize its platform as specialized AI agents that reason, plan, and adapt to identify attack paths and prove exploitable security risks, including through what the company calls an “agentic attacker swarm.” These are descriptions and claims from the company, not independent efficacy findings.

Kevin Mandia is Armadin’s CEO. The company named Travis Lanham, Evan Peña, and David Slater as founders. Mandia has argued that the rapid development of agentic AI requires more autonomous cyber defense. In the launch announcement, he said, “In a world of machine-speed attacks, defense must become autonomous.” That is his view, not an independently established forecast or standard.

What the funding announcement does—and does not—establish

The announced rounds document how much capital Armadin says it raised and identify the investors it named. They do not establish the platform’s independent effectiveness, its pricing, or whether it is publicly available for purchase. In its October announcement, the company said its platform was running in production for Fortune 500 enterprises and government customers, but it did not name those customers in the announcement.
