The $80 million Powerball jackpot reported on 28 August 2025 was a historical prize, not a current jackpot. No Australian ticket won Division One in draw 1528, so the next advertised jackpot rose to $80 million.
What happened in Powerball draw 1528?
PerthNow reported on 28 August 2025 that no ticket won Division One in draw 1528, leaving the jackpot to roll over to $80 million for the next draw. Lotterywest confirmed that the jackpot had reached that amount after five consecutive weeks without a Division One winner.
The numbers reported for draw 1528 were 33, 4, 14, 30, 1, 21 and 10, with Powerball 6. These are the results of that specific draw, not numbers to use as a prediction for a later one. PerthNow’s report and Lotterywest’s announcement covered the rollover.
What happened to the $80 million jackpot?
The August 2025 rollover was not the last time an $80 million Powerball jackpot was offered. In an explainer published 11 February 2026, Lotterywest said the prize had been offered again in September 2025 and shared: a woman from the Peel region won a $20 million share. That later win is separate from draw 1528; it does not mean anyone won the August draw’s jackpot.

How does Powerball Division One work?
Lotterywest explains that each draw selects seven Winning Numbers from one barrel and one Powerball number from another. To win Division One, a ticket must match all seven main numbers and the Powerball. Other combinations can qualify for lower divisions.
Each draw is random. Lotterywest cautions that past number frequencies do not create a pattern that can predict future results. Its Powerball explainer sets out the draw mechanics and this randomness caveat.

Why the headline is historical
The $80 million figure belongs to the jackpot advertised after the 28 August 2025 draw. Lotterywest’s later account of the September 2025 jackpot and shared win provides subsequent context, but neither source establishes the current jackpot or ticket availability today. Check the relevant official lottery operator for current draw results, prize amounts and deadlines.
