10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry: January 2023 course
The Navy invited unmarried male candidates who met the notice’s nationality conditions to apply for a four-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. The notice set the online application period as 18 August through 28 August 2022.
Eligibility and selection
- Applicants needed at least 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.
- They also needed at least 50% in English in Class X or Class XII.
- The Navy used the JEE Main 2022 All India Common Rank List to shortlist candidates for the Services Selection Board (SSB).
The notice said the B.Tech degree would be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University. It also stated that the Navy would bear the training cost, including books and reading material. Consult the full 10+2 B.Tech notice for other conditions and the selection details.

SSC Executive (IT): January–February 2022 notice
This route was for unmarried men and women applying for 50 Short Service Commission Executive (Information Technology) vacancies. The application period opened on 27 January 2022 and closed on 10 February 2022.
Degree routes and shortlisting
Eligibility depended on the specific computing and related degree pathways and minimum marks set out in the notice. Listed options covered computing, information technology, software, cyber security, networking, data analytics and artificial intelligence fields, as well as MCA with a relevant BCA or BSc route. Shortlisting used normalized marks from the qualifying degree; the notice applied different semester or degree considerations to undergraduate and postgraduate candidates.
Documents specified in the notice
Applicants were asked to provide degree marksheets, proof of date of birth, the CGPA conversion formula where applicable, an NCC C certificate if held, and a recent passport-size colour photograph. The notice described an initial commission of 10 years, extendable by up to four years subject to conditions. Which route applied to you?
The two notices were not interchangeable: one was a post-10+2 cadet course selected through JEE Main rank, while the other was a graduate/postgraduate SSC IT entry selected using normalized degree marks.
- Choose the 10+2 B.Tech notice as your reference if you were considering the four-year academy course and met its subject, marks, gender and nationality conditions.
- Use the SSC IT notice as your reference if you held one of its specified computing-related qualifications and met the applicable marks criteria.

No. Both application periods were in 2022 and have ended. Recruitment dates and eligibility are specific to each notice, so do not rely on these historical dates or requirements for a new application.
