JPSC JET 2024 registration is closed. The Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s original application period ran from September 16 to October 6, 2025; a later extension reported by Scroll.in moved the deadline to October 30, 2025. The fee and correction windows have also passed. The test is the Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2024, under Advertisement 08/2025—not a currently open application.
What JPSC JET 2024 is for
JPSC describes the Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2024 as an eligibility test for Assistant Professor appointment and Ph.D. admission at universities and colleges in Jharkhand. The commission issued the notice under Advertisement 08/2025, citing Jharkhand government higher-education notifications as its regulatory basis. See the JPSC press release dated September 9, 2025.
Application, payment and correction dates
JPSC’s initial schedule set the online application deadline at October 6, 2025, at 11:45 p.m.; fee payment was due October 7 at 5:00 p.m., and corrections were allowed October 8–10, ending at 5:00 p.m. Scroll.in reported on October 28, 2025, that JPSC extended applications through October 30, fee payment through October 31, and corrections to November 1–3. The extension dates are supported here by secondary reporting; the underlying extension notice is not available in the cited material. Either schedule is now past.
The original announcement and application instructions are available through JPSC’s press release and exam-files listing. The reported extension was covered by Scroll.in on October 28, 2025.

What is known about the exam schedule
JPSC’s Examination Calendar 2026 listed JET 2024 as an MCQ examination with Paper I and Paper II, with a tentative date of March 29, 2026. That date has passed, but a tentative calendar entry does not establish whether the examination was held then or what the result status is. Check JPSC’s Examination Calendar 2026, dated January 6, 2026, and its exam-files page for any later official notices.
Quick Recap
What to do if you are a candidate
- If you already applied, use JPSC’s official exam-files page to look for candidate notices, admit-card information, examination updates, or results. The calendar alone does not confirm the exam or result outcome.
- If you did not apply, you cannot submit an application under the 2024 registration window. Follow JPSC notices for any future JET cycle; do not assume its dates or requirements will match Advertisement 08/2025.
- For questions about the 2025 application notice, JPSC listed help line numbers +91 9431301636 and +91 9431301419, available on working days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in that notice. Verify current contact details on JPSC’s website before calling.
