The new venue at 9 The Esplanade is a large CBD space with indoor dining and extensive alfresco areas—not a recreation of the Fremantle venue.
Where Little Creatures Elizabeth Quay is
The venue is at 9 The Esplanade, Perth, WA 6000, in the Elizabeth Quay waterfront precinct. The operator lists the address on its Elizabeth Quay venue page. Tourism Western Australia had previously described the site as a planned multi-level development with dining, brewing and taproom space; that preview provides context, while the opening date was confirmed separately.
What the venue is like
The 2025 opening announcement from Three Pound Group and Lion described more than 500 square metres of indoor space, including a central bar and dining areas, plus 390 square metres of alfresco zones. The design includes banquet seating, high and low tables, weatherproof outdoor areas and large screens indoors and outside. The announcement positioned the mix for casual catch-ups, family outings, live sport and special occasions.
Food and drinks on offer
The opening announcement described a menu built around Western Australian produce, including share plates, modern pub classics, stone-baked pizzas, seasonal salads, premium grill cuts, desserts and family-friendly options. Drinks were to include Little Creatures beers, local and international wines, and cocktails.

What happened at the launch
PerthNow reported that Perth foodies and publicans attended the opening, where guests sampled beers, cocktails, seafood, pizzas and share plates while a DJ played. The report described the offering as tailored to CBD patrons, including a corporate crowd. It did not provide an attendance figure, so “massive” describes the launch in the headline rather than a quantified crowd or economic impact.

A distinct CBD character, not a Fremantle replica
Tim McLernon, general manager of Three Pound Group, told PerthNow: “We didn’t want to recreate Fremantle.” He said the Elizabeth Quay venue had “the Little Creatures DNA, but definitely a more corporate, CBD version.” The distinction is one of setting and character: the Perth venue was designed for its waterfront and city-centre audience, without claiming to replace or outperform the Fremantle original.
