The YETI x Liquid Death Casket Cooler was a one-of-a-kind, life-size casket-shaped cooler auctioned by Liquid Death in August 2024. The sale is over: Liquid Death’s Auctions collection now marks the item sold out. The reported starting bid was $1,500, a historical auction term—not a current price or an offer to buy.
What was the YETI x Liquid Death Casket Cooler?
It was a functional cooler built in the shape of a life-size casket, combining Liquid Death’s irreverent branding with YETI cooler features. Bleeding Cool’s August 2024 coverage described the one-of-a-kind item as using YETI Triple Foam ColdCell technology, with a hydraulic lid piston, dual drain valves and T-Latch lid locks. The report gave its capacity as about 378 standard 12-ounce cans or 252 19.2-ounce cans without ice. Bleeding Cool’s auction coverage
When was it auctioned, and can you still bid?
Liquid Death auctioned the cooler in August 2024. Bleeding Cool reported a $1,500 starting bid and white-glove delivery limited to the contiguous United States; those were terms of that sale, not current purchase information. Bleeding Cool’s auction coverage
Liquid Death’s Auctions collection currently lists the YETI x Liquid Death Casket Cooler as sold out. That status means the special collaboration is not being offered through the listing now; the available evidence does not establish the final winning bid or identify a winner. Why did Liquid Death and YETI make it?
Liquid Death’s team had already been hauling around a homemade casket cooler made by hollowing out a casket for trade shows and live events. Muse by Clios attributes the origin story to Liquid Death vice president of creative Andy Pearson, who said people at events loved the DIY version. Pearson described the collaboration as “a perfect, beautiful mashup of both our brands.” Muse by Clios on the collaboration

What to know if you wanted one
- The casket-shaped cooler was a unique promotional collaboration, not a regularly available YETI model.
- The auction’s $1,500 starting bid does not tell you what the item ultimately sold for.
- Liquid Death’s current listing says sold out, so do not treat old auction coverage as an open sale.
