No. Reports say Bethenny Frankel’s temporary spousal-maintenance payments to Jason Hoppy ended after a New York appellate court ruling on March 22, 2016. The reported amount was about $11,852 per month—often rounded to nearly $12,000—not a payment shown to be ongoing today.

What happened to the nearly $12,000 monthly payment?

In 2016, E! News and People reported that a New York appellate court ended the temporary maintenance award Frankel had been paying Hoppy during their divorce proceedings. People reported the amount as approximately $11,852 per month; E! News described it as nearly $12,000. The reports said the prenuptial agreement’s waiver of spousal support was central to the decision. E! News, March 22, 2016; People, 2016.

The appellate opinion itself is not available in these reports, so the ruling’s details here are attributed to the contemporaneous news coverage rather than presented as a direct reading of the court’s decision.

Why the later child-support news is different

Frankel and Hoppy’s divorce was finalized in 2021, according to later reporting. That coverage also says Frankel later stopped paying direct child support after receiving primary residential custody of their daughter, Bryn. Child support is a separate obligation from spousal maintenance; this custody-related development does not mean the 2016 spousal-maintenance payment continued or resumed. Us Weekly coverage of the divorce finalization; Today coverage of the custody and child-support development.

What current reporting establishes

September 2026 coverage describes the former couple’s relationship as strained but does not report that the old temporary spousal-maintenance payment resumed. That supports the answer that the reported 2016 obligation ended and no renewal is reported; it does not establish whether any private financial arrangement exists outside public reporting.
