Is the IOCL Grade A 2025 application still open?
No. The application window ended on 28 September 2025 at 17:00 IST. The 21 September date in the original headline was the initial deadline, not the final one. IndianOil’s Latest Job Openings page lists the final result dated 10 December 2025, confirming that this recruitment cycle has concluded.
The page also links an indicative computer-based test (CBT) syllabus and discipline-specific mock tests. These can serve as reference materials, but they are not an application route for the closed 2025 cycle.
What posts and vacancies did the notice cover?
Advertisement No. IOCL/CO-HR/RECTT/2025/01, dated 5 September 2025, invited applications for Engineer/Officer posts at Grade A through a computer-based test. The 24 September addendum amended the vacancy total to 185 and said the number of vacancies could be changed at management’s discretion.

The addendum listed category totals of 77 UR, 18 EWS, 49 OBC (NCL), 27 SC and 14 ST vacancies. These are the amended figures published by IndianOil in 2025, not a guarantee of future recruitment numbers.
What degree and marks were required?
The detailed advertisement required a full-time, regular B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in an eligible engineering discipline. The minimum marks depended on category:

Eligibility also depended on the discipline-specific degree requirements and applicable institute or university norms. A degree with a similar-sounding title should not be assumed to qualify. Check the exact degree names and conditions in IndianOil’s detailed advertisement dated 5 September 2025.
