Is recruitment still open?
No. The February 6, 2024 deadline has passed, and the course was scheduled to start in April 2024. The 55-post figure should not be treated as a current opening. Why other 55-vacancy reports may refer to a different course
The figure 55 appeared in reports about more than one NCC Special Entry cycle. Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University’s career guidance bulletin described the separate 56th Course for October 2024, also with 50 vacancies for men and five for women. A July 2023 Hindustan Times report covered an earlier cycle. These are distinct notices, not evidence that the 2024 application window remained open.
Later recruitment was different again: Times of India coverage of the 2026 124th Course reported 76 vacancies and February–March 2026 application dates.
