What IDBI advertised in the 2024 recruitment
IDBI Bank’s notification, advertised on November 20, 2024, listed 600 provisional vacancies. It allocated 500 posts to JAM Grade O Generalist and 100 to Specialist AAO. The bank reserved the right to change the vacancy numbers.

Eligibility requirements in the notice
Eligibility was assessed as of October 1, 2024. The criteria below describe that recruitment cycle; applicants needed to meet the notice’s category rules and provide the required documents.
Age and graduation marks
- Both posts specified a minimum age of 20 and a maximum age of 25, with relaxations governed by the notification.
- The minimum graduation marks were 60% for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, or equivalent CGPA/OGPA.
JAM Generalist degree and zone conditions
JAM Generalist accepted a recognized bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a diploma alone did not meet the stated degree requirement. Applicants selected one zone, had to demonstrate proficiency in a language listed for that zone, and had to provide a valid domicile certificate from a state in that zone. The selected zone could not be changed after applying.

AAO degree requirement
AAO required a four-year degree in one of the specified agriculture-related fields: agriculture, horticulture, agricultural engineering, fishery science or engineering, animal husbandry, veterinary science, forestry, dairy science or technology, food science or technology, pisciculture, agroforestry, or sericulture. The notification governs the precise qualification and documentary rules.
Selection stages and online test
The selection process comprised an online test, document verification, personal interview and pre-recruitment medical test. IDBI determined qualifying cut-offs based on vacancies; the notice did not guarantee an interview threshold.

AAO included a professional-knowledge section and had a longer test. The notification also specified section timings. A wrong answer attracted a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question; unanswered questions incurred no penalty.
Application dates and fees
Online registration and fee payment were both open from November 21 through November 30, 2024. The application and intimation charge was ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹1,050 for all other candidates. These dates and charges applied to the 2024 cycle only.

How to check for later IDBI vacancies
Use IDBI’s official Current Openings page for active recruitment notices and the bank’s careers page for recruitment information and archived notices. The 2024 notification said, “The exact date of Online Test would be updated on the Bank’s website (Career section) and call letter.” Its proposed December 2024/January 2025 test period is historical, not a future schedule.

IDBI says it has not hired agencies or individuals to recruit staff or collect money, commission or charges for recruitment or training. It says openings are announced through notices in leading newspapers and on its website.
