Can you still apply for IBPS RRB 2026?
No. As of October 8, 2026, the initial registration window for both recruitment tracks has ended. The October 7–8 edit window is for candidates who already registered; it does not reopen applications. The separate application-printing deadline is October 12.
IBPS lists the dates on the official Officer application portal and Office Assistant application portal. Check the relevant portal and official notice for any subsequent change.

The examination dates are from IBPS’s 2026–27 tentative online examination calendar, not confirmed appointment dates. The application portals identify the two recruitment tracks separately. For the Officer track, IBPS says a candidate may apply for only one cadre post: Scale I, II or III.

What can an existing applicant do now?
Edit an application through October 8
If you registered and need to correct your application, use the relevant portal’s edit option while the listed window is open. October 8 is the last date shown. IBPS does not state an exact closing time on the pages reviewed, so do not assume the edit facility will remain available until midnight.
Print the application through October 12
Use the relevant portal to print your submitted application by October 12. This is a printing deadline only; it does not allow a new candidate to register or pay the application fee.
Check the supporting instructions
The portals provide “How to Apply,” “Frequently Asked Questions,” “Important Points,” and photo and signature scanning guidance. The Officer portal also links guidance on scribes and compensatory time. If either accommodation applies to you, consult the official instructions for your track rather than relying on a general summary.

No. IBPS states on its Officer portal that online submission does not mean the candidate has met every criterion in the notification. It says applications are subject to later scrutiny and can be rejected if a candidate is found ineligible. Review the applicable notification and supporting instructions for your post; successful submission alone is not confirmation of eligibility.
