The 345-post ITBP-led CAPF Medical Officer application is not open: the 2024 notice set November 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. as the deadline. A separate 2026 recruitment was later reported with 282 posts and a September 8, 2026 deadline; that reported date has also passed. Check ITBP’s official recruitment portal for any new notice rather than relying on an expired application link.
What the 345-post notice covered
The 2024 notice invited Indian citizens, men and women, to apply for Group A medical officer vacancies across the BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles. It listed:
- 5 Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command)
- 176 Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant)
- 164 Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)
- 345 posts total
The notice said vacancy numbers could change without prior notice. These were separate role categories, not one interchangeable eligibility group; candidates would need to consult the complete 2024 recruitment notice for the qualifications and terms for a particular post.
When the 2024 application window ran
The official notice scheduled online applications to open October 16, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. and close November 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Applications were to be submitted online through the ITBP recruitment website. That window has expired.

How applications and selection were described
Scroll’s report published on November 14, 2024, summarized the application steps as registering as a new user on the ITBP recruitment site, logging in to complete the form, saving it and printing a copy for reference. The report described selection as an interview followed by a Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination Test (MET). These are its summary of the process; the official notice remains the authority for full rules and post-specific conditions.
A separate 2026 recruitment was reported
Do not confuse the 2024 campaign for 345 posts with a later, separate CAPF Medical Officer recruitment. Jagran Josh reported that the 2026 campaign had 282 posts, opened August 10, 2026, and was scheduled to close September 8, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, that reported deadline had passed. The available reporting does not establish whether the 2026 application window was extended or whether ITBP issued an official closure notice.
