The Indian Navy Civilian Entrance Test (INCET) 01/2024 provisional answer key was released in December 2024. Candidates could challenge answers through the official INCET portal’s Challenge Mechanism, but the window closed at 17:00 on December 24, 2024. That deadline has passed; this is a historical update, not an open challenge notice.
What was the INCET 01/2024 answer-key process?
INCET 01/2024 is the Indian Navy Civilian Entrance Test, not the National Common Entrance Test (NCET). The computer-based test was held November 27–29, 2024. Scroll reported that the provisional answer key was released on December 20, while another report gave December 19; coverage agrees it appeared in December 2024. The recruitment was reported to include 794 vacancies, a figure for posts—not candidates or objections. Scroll.in
The Navy’s reproduced notice directed candidates to review the provisional key and submit any objections using the portal’s Challenge Mechanism. It did not accept letters, applications, or email as alternative submission methods. The notice copy is hosted on Scribd rather than an Indian Navy domain, so its detailed procedural wording should be understood as reproduced notice text. Reproduced notice on Scribd
When did the challenge window close?
According to the reproduced notice, the Challenge Mechanism opened at 10:00 on December 20, 2024, and closed at 17:00 on December 24, 2024. The submission period is over. The available sources do not establish whether the portal currently displays the old key or provide a current result link. Reproduced notice on Scribd

What did an objection cost, and could the fee be refunded?
The notice set a charge of ₹100 per question, plus applicable bank service charges. Scroll summarized the fee as ₹100 per suggestion. The notice said a challenge found valid would be refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges; it did not promise a refund for every submission. Scroll.in Reproduced notice on Scribd
How were challenges reviewed?
The reproduced notice said a panel of subject experts would verify candidates’ challenges. In its words, “if found correct, the answer key will be revised and result will be prepared accordingly.” The notice also said the Navy’s decision was final and candidates would not receive individual acceptance or rejection notifications. What candidates can do now
Because the December 24, 2024 deadline has passed, candidates cannot use that historical window to file a new objection. The available reporting does not verify a later amendment, present portal status, or any individual candidate’s result. For an individual recruitment update, rely on current notices from the Indian Navy rather than assuming the 2024 challenge facility remains available.
