India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) issued Advt. No. IIFCL/HR/2024/04 on 6 December 2024 for regular direct recruitment to Assistant Manager (Grade A). IIFCL described itself in the notice as a wholly owned Government of India company established in 2006 to provide long-term financial assistance to viable infrastructure projects. The recruitment listed 40 vacancies:

The advertisement also noted horizontal reservation for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD). Registration and fee payment were scheduled for 7–23 December 2024, with applications accepted online only through IIFCL’s website. The age, qualification and experience cut-off date was 30 November 2024. The original advertisement’s tentative January 2025 exam and January–February 2025 interview/final-result estimates were later superseded by the dates in IIFCL’s result notice.

What was the age limit and qualification requirement?
Applicants had to be Indian citizens. On 30 November 2024, a candidate had to be at least 21 years old and under 30. The notice allowed upper-age relaxations for specified categories, including SC/ST, OBC non-creamy layer and PwBD candidates. The exact relaxation depended on the candidate’s category and the notification’s conditions.
There was no single degree or experience requirement applicable to every applicant: educational and post-qualification work-experience requirements varied by stream. Because eligibility depended on the stream, candidates needed to use the relevant stream row in the original advertisement rather than assume a general requirement. IIFCL noted that corrigenda, if any, would be published on its website; the recruitment terms should not be treated as unchanged without checking the relevant official notices.

How did the selection process work?
Selection comprised an online objective examination (Phase I) followed by a technical and behavioural interview (Phase II). The online examination carried 40% of the final weighting and the interview 60%.
Phase I: online examination
The exam was 200 marks and 120 minutes. Test I covered reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English and financial-sector current affairs. Test II tested domain knowledge, including project finance, banking and treasury, general management, risk, governance, accounting and taxation, the Indian economy, financial institutions and current regulatory material. IIFCL described the syllabus as indicative, not exhaustive, and stated that Phase I had negative marking of one quarter of the marks assigned to a question.
Phase II: interview
The second phase was a technical and behavioural interview. In the final selection weighting, the interview accounted for 60%, compared with 40% for the online exam.
What were the actual exam and result dates?
IIFCL’s notice dated 11 July 2025 reported that the written examination took place on 25 January 2025, interviews were held from 19–23 May 2025, and the provisional-selection notice was dated 11 July 2025. Those actual milestones replace the earlier tentative schedule in the December 2024 advertisement. Provisional selection was conditional on eligibility verification and required-document submission.
