Where is the Trealayne Holsteins farm?
The farm is in eastern Ohio’s Tuscarawas County. Successful Farming described it as a generational operation known for its registered dairy herd and quality operation, and reported that it had not been available for more than 80 years. The property also had access to Interstate 77 and state highways.
What was included in the Ohio farm sale?
The reported 176.5 acres combined tillable farmland, wooded recreational land and country building sites. The property was divided into eight auction parcels ranging from 6.1 to 46.3 acres, rather than being offered as one undivided lot.
Successful Farming reported three farm structures:
- A 250-by-42-foot dairy barn
- A 100-by-40-foot bank barn
- A 22-by-50-foot equipment shed
The report described the buildings as being in fair but usable condition and said mineral rights were included.

What does the reported $5.3 million price establish?
The $5,317,400 figure is Successful Farming’s reported total for the June 24, 2025, live auction. The publication’s headline rounds that amount to $5.3 million. The report does not provide prices for individual parcels or explain how the total was allocated among the land, buildings and mineral rights.
For that reason, the total should not be treated as a per-acre valuation or as a direct benchmark for other farms. Parcel size, land use, structures and their condition, mineral rights, location and sale date all affect how a transaction can be compared.
