To open an account with Allied Bank Limited in Pakistan, choose an account and apply at a branch or, if eligible, through myPakistan Digital Account. For a branch application, bring your original valid identity document and supporting records relevant to your work, income and account type. Resident Pakistani individuals applying for an Asaan Account have a simpler stated document requirement: an original valid identity document for verification.

Apply at a branch
Allied Bank asks branch applicants to bring their original identity document and applicable supporting documents. For a regular account, the records needed depend on your circumstances. A foreign national should bring the applicable valid work, business or study visa along with the relevant identity and supporting documents. Check the bank’s current requirements before visiting.
Apply online as a resident
Allied Bank’s myPakistan Digital Account route supports applications for an Asaan Digital Account, Asaan Digital Remittances Account, Freelancer Digital Account, savings account or current account through the bank website or myABL platform, without a branch visit. The bank’s overview does not specify every screen or eligibility check. Use the official myPakistan Digital Account page and follow the live application process for current instructions.
Applying from abroad
Eligible non-residents should check Allied Bank’s separate Low-Income Roshan Digital Account route, which offers current and savings variants and allows digital applications from abroad. The resident myPakistan route is not automatically the right option for every overseas Pakistani. Review the bank’s Roshan Digital Account eligibility and application details.

Prepare your identity document
Allied Bank lists several identity documents, including CNIC, SNIC, NICOP and POC. Depending on the applicant’s circumstances, an Alien Registration Card or a foreign passport with visa or legal-stay evidence may also be relevant. Identity requirements vary in less common cases, so use the bank’s current account-opening documents list to confirm what applies to you.
Gather supporting documents for a regular account
For a regular account, prepare records that establish your profession or source of funds and, where applicable, your earnings. Allied Bank’s examples include the following; the bank reviews documents and does not guarantee that any single example will satisfy a particular application.

- Salaried applicants: Job or employee card, employer certificate, employment contract or letter, or other evidence of profession. Earnings evidence may include a recent salary slip or certificate, payment record, account statement or tax material.
- Students: A valid student ID or institution letter, plus the funds provider’s identity and applicable work and income evidence.
- Retired or pensioned applicants: Retirement evidence and pension or terminal-benefit records.
- Self-employed people and professionals: Relevant business declarations or documents, deeds, tax registration, professional registration or trade-body proof, alongside payment receipts, statements, tax records or other income evidence.
- Landlords: Property ownership records for agricultural land, or a valid rent agreement for non-agricultural property, with evidence of earnings.
- Freelancers: Evidence of freelance or self-employed engagement, plus payment receipts, account statements, tax returns or another record of legitimate freelance income.
- Dependents, including housewives or unemployed applicants: The funds provider’s identity and applicable evidence of that person’s work and earnings.
One document may sometimes establish both your work or profession and your earnings if it contains the relevant information.
Consider whether an Asaan Account fits
For resident Pakistani individuals, Allied Bank states that an Asaan Account requires an original valid identity document for verification, with no additional supporting documents. The bank also offers Asaan Digital and Asaan Digital Remittances options through its digital route. Check the account’s eligibility, limits and current terms before selecting it; the simplified document requirement does not establish that every applicant or use case qualifies.

Choose an account for how you will use it
Allied Bank offers account options including Asaan, Basic Banking, Easy Current and Current accounts. Compare the purpose, eligibility, balance rules, transaction limits and charges for the specific account before applying. For example, the bank describes its Allied Current Account as intended for frequent deposits, withdrawals and transfers.
On the Allied Current Account page, last updated December 10, 2025, the stated initial deposit is PKR 1,000. The page also lists a PKR 50 monthly service charge when the monthly average balance is below PKR 25,000. These figures apply to that product page only and may change; they should not be assumed to apply to other Allied Bank accounts. Confirm current terms on the bank’s Allied Current Account page.

Whether you apply online or in person, submission does not guarantee account activation. Allied Bank may review the information, ask for further documents or details, and verify customers biometrically. Its terms state: “The Bank reserves its right to refuse to open an Account without assigning any reason.” This is from Allied Bank’s Terms and Conditions Governing the Account & Electronic Channels.
Allied Bank gives a standard turnaround of three working days from account opening to regularization. This is the bank’s stated standard, not a promise that every application will be completed within that period; review or a request for more information may affect the process.
