To upload photos to Walmart Photo Center, sign in on the Walmart Photo website, select Upload, choose an existing album or create one, and add images from your device. You can also drag files into the upload area or import photos from a supported social album. Uploading saves photos to your account; it does not place a print order.
Upload photos from a computer
- Sign in. Go to Walmart Photo and sign in with your Walmart.com account. If you do not have one, create an account on the website. Walmart’s help page says account creation requires a valid email address and access to an internet-connected computer.
- Select Upload. Choose the Upload control on the site.
- Choose an album. Select an existing album or create a new one. When creating one, you can add an optional title or date.
- Add your images. Select files on your device, drag them into the upload area, or use a social-media icon to choose photos from an album, where that option is supported.
- Monitor progress. The progress bar shows upload status. Select Add photos to add more images to the current upload.
Upload time depends on your internet connection; Walmart’s help page does not give a fixed duration or a detailed recovery procedure for a stalled upload.
Upload from a phone
Walmart Photo says phone users can visit the service in a mobile browser, upload photos from the phone, and continue into the print workflow. The service’s print ordering page describes choosing a size and finish, editing or cropping, previewing, and ordering. The source describes using a mobile browser; it does not establish that an app is required.
Choose the right resolution for prints and gifts
For large prints, photo books, and other gifts, Walmart recommends choosing Full resolution during upload. The reviewed help page points to separate recommended-resolution guidance but does not give exact pixel dimensions, so check Walmart’s current guidance for the product you plan to order rather than relying on a guessed threshold.

Uploading is separate from ordering prints
After upload, start a print or gift order separately: choose a product, select its available size and finish, edit or crop if needed, preview, and complete checkout. Walmart lists common print formats such as 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10; pickup and delivery depend on the product and fulfillment options displayed during checkout. See Walmart’s print workflow or its 5×7 glossy print example for product-flow details.
Keep a separate copy of your photos
Walmart Photo’s help page says uploads from the listed methods are free, there is no limit to the number of digital photos a user can upload, and uploading places a copy in the account without changing the original file on the computer. It also warns: “Walmart.com Photo accounts are not intended to be used as permanent photo storage.” The page describes deletion after 18 months without a Walmart Photo purchase and says that policy began in November 2021. Because that timing comes from older policy language and account terms may change, do not treat the account as an archival backup; retain your originals and check the current terms. See Walmart Photo’s help and account guidance for the published policy wording.
