The available 2024–25 season-specific wage table excerpt puts Kevin De Bruyne first at an estimated £400,000 per week, followed by Erling Haaland at £375,000. Casemiro and Mohamed Salah are tied at £350,000 each. A complete, comparable top-15 ranking cannot be verified from the available figures, so the names beyond the supported entries should not be presented as confirmed places.
Who are the highest-paid players in the Premier League in 2024/25?
FBref’s 2024–25 Premier League wage-table excerpt lists these four leaders. The figures are reported wage estimates, not confirmed disclosures of contract terms.
| Position shown | Player | Club shown | Estimated weekly wage | Annualized estimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kevin De Bruyne | Manchester City | £400,000 | £20,800,000 |
| 2 | Erling Haaland | Manchester City | £375,000 | £19,500,000 |
| 3 (tied) | Casemiro | Manchester United | £350,000 | £18,200,000 |
| 3 (tied) | Mohamed Salah | Liverpool | £350,000 | £18,200,000 |
The annualized estimates multiply each weekly amount by 52; they are not separate reported contract figures. Casemiro and Salah share the same displayed weekly wage, so assigning one a higher rank would imply a distinction the table does not show. FBref’s 2024–25 wage table is season-specific, but the excerpt available for this ranking establishes only these first four entries.
Why isn’t this a complete top-15 list?
The available sources do not establish positions 5 through 15 from one complete, comparable 2024–25 dataset. A November 2024 report attributing figures to Spotrac lists a top 10, while the season-specific FBref excerpt supports only the leading four. Combining the two would mix sources and snapshots, not produce a verified season ranking.

The Spotrac-attributed November report places Raheem Sterling fifth, then lists Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford at the same reported annual amount, followed by Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. Those names provide context, not verified positions in a definitive 2024–25 top 15. Ranks 11–15 remain unverified in the available reporting. Goal’s November 2024 report identifies Sterling with Chelsea while noting that he was on loan at Arsenal and Arsenal paid part of his salary. A club label can therefore refer to the contract-holding club rather than the team a player represented on the pitch.
Why do reported Premier League wages differ?
Salary rankings depend on what a source measures and when it takes its snapshot. The figures cited here illustrate several differences readers should check before comparing lists:

- Snapshot date and renewals: FBref’s season-specific excerpt gives Haaland an estimated £375,000 per week. A Goal article published March 11, 2025, citing Capology and describing its figures as gross salaries, reports £525,000 per week after his renewal. Goal says the renewed Manchester City contract runs through 2034. These are different reported snapshots, not amounts that can be silently combined into one season figure. Goal’s March 2025 salary report Goal on Haaland’s contract length
- Gross versus net: A wage described as gross is not the same as take-home pay after tax and deductions. The March 2025 Goal report explicitly describes its amounts as gross; that label should not be assumed for figures from a different table unless the source says so.
- Base wage versus extras: Salary tables may omit bonuses, signing payments or performance incentives. A later Sporting News ranking says its Capology figures exclude signing bonuses and potential add-on incentives, and includes contracts signed after the target season. It is useful only as a later comparison, not as evidence for the 2024–25 top 15. Sporting News’ February 2026 comparison
- Weekly versus annual amounts: A weekly wage multiplied by 52 is an annualized estimate, not necessarily the exact amount paid in a calendar or football season.
- Club and loan status: The club shown may hold the player’s contract even while another club uses him on loan; the reported Sterling arrangement is one example.
