Does BJ’s offer a free year of membership?
The current public BJ’s offers reviewed do not verify a free 12-month membership that anyone can claim. Some customers may see private, workplace, or account-specific offers, but public offer pages cannot confirm whether you personally qualify. Treat an offer as free only if its current terms explicitly say the membership costs $0 for the stated period.

How to check the offer and avoid an unexpected renewal
- Start with BJ’s current official offers. Open the relevant student, first-responder or other eligibility page, or sign in to your BJ’s account to check for a private offer. Do not assume a discount for one group applies to you.
- Verify the total first-year cost. Confirm the membership tier, amount due, any reward amount and how or when the reward can be used. A reward is not the same as a free membership.
- Check the conditions before submitting payment. Confirm whether the offer is for new members, what verification is required, and any promotion end date. The student offer, for example, states January 30, 2027 as its expiration date.
- Review Easy Renewal before accepting. BJ’s says Easy Renewal authorizes an annual recurring charge at the then-current membership price plus applicable tax. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the stated Start Date. BJ’s says members can manage or cancel Easy Renewal online, at a club service desk, or by calling Member Care; check the signup terms for the applicable dates and instructions.
What the membership prices and Club+ benefits mean
BJ’s 2026 filing describes typical annual prices of $60 for Club and $120 for Club+. Those are general prices, not a promise that a particular promotion or location will use them. Promotional pricing can differ.

The same filing describes Club+ benefits that include 2% back on eligible purchases up to $500 per year, a 5-cent-per-gallon gas discount and two free same-day deliveries, subject to terms and eligibility.
