For U.S. customers, McDonald’s directs people looking for offers to the official app’s Deals section and to Rewards & Deals. To find an offer, opt in, check its terms, then use the redemption method shown on that offer. Here are eight steps to get started.
How to find and use McDonald’s deals in 8 steps

- For a mobile order, add the deal before checkout. If the offer shows “Add Deal to Mobile Order,” tap it, customize eligible items as allowed, and tap “Add to Order” to place it in your bag. - For restaurant redemption, select the scan option before ordering. Choose “Scan at Restaurant” on the deal page and present the QR code as directed by the app and restaurant. How to choose between ordering methods
Use the option shown on the specific offer: choose Mobile Order & Pay when “Add Deal to Mobile Order” appears, or use the restaurant scan route if the offer supports it. Compare offers by the eligible item and discount, participating location, expiration and serving time, and any exclusions for mobile ordering or McDelivery. What to know about coupons and changing offers
McDonald’s current U.S. guidance explains how to find and redeem app deals; it does not establish that every printed-coupon channel is unavailable. A coupon-specific FAQ published September 23, 2022 said there were no coupons in the app at that time, but that dated statement should not be treated as a current answer about all coupon sources. Promotions are time-sensitive. The McDonald’s deals page accessed October 8, 2026 included a free medium fries offer that was valid only through October 4, 2026; that example is expired, not a current deal. Rewards points are separate from coupon discounts
