Check your Vanilla Visa gift card balance at balance.VanillaGift.com or call Vanilla at 1-833-322-6760. For an online lookup, have the card number, security code and valid-through date ready.
Check your balance online
- Find the card number, security code and valid-through date on your physical card. For an eGift card, open its details.
- Go to Vanilla’s official balance checker: balance.VanillaGift.com.
- Enter the requested card details to view the balance. Vanilla’s online checker supports Visa gift cards and eGift cards. Vanilla Visa Gift Cards and the Vanilla Gift FAQ describe the lookup process.
Check by phone
Call 1-833-322-6760 to check the balance or ask about a card you have already purchased. Vanilla lists a separate number, 1-844-433-7898, for questions about buying gift cards online; see its contact page.

Protect your card details
The online lookup asks for sensitive card information. Enter it only on Vanilla’s official balance page, or use the official phone number above. Do not share the card number or security code with someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
If the balance looks too low for a purchase
A transaction may require more available money than the final purchase price. Vanilla says some transaction types can place a hold of up to 20% above the purchase amount. Gas stations may also place a hold, and some merchants use an estimated charge. Check that the balance can cover the full total, including taxes and shipping; see the Vanilla Gift FAQ.

- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Activation and the valid-through date
Physical cards
Vanilla says physical cards can be activated at its balance-checking site or by calling the number printed on the card. If a card is not working, check whether it needs activation.
eGift cards
Vanilla says eGift cards are activated when purchased and are ready to use.
