What to know before shopping an after-Christmas sale

The retailer’s current pages show seasonal and general sale activity—not a published schedule or confirmed assortment for a future after-Christmas sale. Williams Sonoma’s holiday page and sale page are the places to recheck when shopping.

How to choose the right deal
- For a seasonal baking project: Check the snowman pan’s current price and stock, then confirm its product details and whether the listing is still active.
- For items you can use beyond the holidays: The pie dish set and placemats may have more year-round utility than explicitly Christmas-themed pieces. Confirm the exact set or variant and price.
- For a low-cost seasonal accent: Compare the napkin rings or figural mug against the price and terms shown on their live listings.
- For food: Check package size and any applicable perishable-food return exclusion before ordering.
Williams Sonoma’s sale page also names brands including Breville, Le Creuset, KitchenAid, All-Clad, SCANPAN, De’Longhi, Hestan, Zwilling, Staub and Shun among limited-time deals. Those brand mentions are not a promise of an after-Christmas discount; check the page for current promotions and terms.
Understand clearance and returns before checkout
Williams Sonoma’s Terms and Conditions say, “Sale items labeled ‘Clearance’ end in $0.97.” The terms also say items ending in .97 are final sale and cannot be cancelled or returned. A displayed $0.97-ending price is therefore an important buying constraint, not just a markdown signal.

The retailer’s returns page says most items with proof of purchase can be returned within 30 days, subject to exclusions that include final-sale items ending in .97, personalized or made-to-order items, and perishable food. That page also contains an inconsistent holiday-return date: it describes purchases from October 15 through December 24, 2026, but gives a January 31, 2026 return deadline. Because that deadline precedes the stated purchase period, do not rely on it; confirm the applicable window with Williams Sonoma before buying if the return date matters.
