The best-supported public figure is historical: Chick-fil-A agreed to a five-year, $22 million title-sponsorship deal for the bowl before the 2006 game, an average of $4.4 million a year if spread evenly. That is not a confirmed annual payment schedule or the current sponsorship fee. The bowl’s latest cited renewal information does not disclose what Chick-fil-A pays today.
Which bowl game does the question mean?
It most likely means the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, operated by Peach Bowl, Inc. The bowl says Chick-fil-A became its first title sponsor in December 1996. The event later took the Chick-fil-A Bowl name and is now known as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. See the operator’s fast facts and history.
What is the reported sponsorship amount?
Sports Business Journal reported in 2007 that Chick-fil-A had signed a five-year, $22 million title-sponsorship agreement before the 2006 game. The deal replaced “Peach” with “Chick-fil-A” in the bowl’s name. The total divided by five is an average of $4.4 million per year, but the report gives the contract’s total and term—not evidence that Chick-fil-A paid equal annual installments. This is a historical naming-rights deal, not a verified current price or a general market rate for bowl sponsorships. Sports Business Journal’s report describes the agreement.
Is $22 million the current fee?
No current fee is established by the cited sources. Peach Bowl, Inc. announced a sponsorship renewal in December 2020, covering the bowl and kickoff games, but did not disclose its financial terms. In April 2022, the bowl said the extension ran through the 2025 game; that update also did not state a price. Neither announcement confirms the amount or renewal status after 2025. The 2020 renewal announcement and 2022 update confirm the partnership details, not the fee.

Was ESPN advertising included in the sponsorship?
Not in the reported $22 million figure as described by the available reporting. Sports Business Journal reported that Chick-fil-A’s ESPN advertising commitment was negotiated separately from the title-sponsorship renewal. Its 2007 account said the bowl received a 15 percent share of advertising purchases above a threshold, but did not give the specific ad-buy amounts. The bowl’s official fast-facts page identifies ESPN as its national broadcaster; that does not quantify the sponsorship’s current value. Do not add an assumed advertising total to the historical $22 million deal. See Sports Business Journal’s report on the separate ad arrangement.
