Activate your Aetna Extra Benefits Card using the phone number, website, or app identified on the sticker attached to your specific card or in its welcome materials. Aetna says activation instructions can vary by card. The address Aetna.NationsBenefits.com/Activate appeared in a 2023 newsletter for one Aetna plan; it is not confirmed as the activation site for every Aetna card in 2026.
Use the activation method supplied with your card
Aetna says the Extra Benefits Card arrives by mail and must be activated before use. The sticker on the card identifies the route for that card: a phone number to call, an app to use, or a website to visit. Follow those instructions rather than assuming that a URL or phone number published for another plan applies to yours. Aetna’s Extra Benefits Card guidance also names the CVS OTC Health Solutions app as an option; use it only if your card’s materials or plan instructions support it.
- Check the card sticker and welcome materials. Find the activation phone number, website, or app supplied for your card.
- Use that route and follow its prompts. Enter personal or card information only on the site or app identified in your plan materials, or provide it through the number printed there.
- Check your balance after activation. Aetna says members can log in to view the card balance. Available benefits and wallets depend on plan eligibility.
Is Aetna.NationsBenefits.com/Activate the right website?
That address is documented in a 2023 Aetna Better Health newsletter for Aetna Assure Premier Plus (HMO D-SNP). The newsletter described activation by phone, online at Aetna.NationsBenefits.com/Activate, or by scanning a QR code in the welcome kit, and listed 1-877-204-1817 (TTY: 711) for that plan. Those are dated, plan-specific instructions, not a universal 2026 activation route. Confirm the address and number against your own card or welcome materials before using them.
NationsBenefits describes card activation as a capability of its Benefits Pro platform and says members should use the toll-free number supplied by their health plan. Its guidance does not establish that the legacy Aetna URL works for every Aetna card. NationsBenefits Benefits Pro information

What to do if the activation instructions are missing or fail
- Check the card sticker, welcome kit, and plan portal for the card-specific activation details.
- If those materials are missing or the listed route does not work, call the member-service number on your Aetna ID card. Aetna directs members to that number for personalized help. Aetna contact information

For that Illinois plan document only, the card replacement and service number is 1-844-428-8147, available seven days a week, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. local time except federal holidays. Do not assume that number or schedule applies to other Aetna plans.

Aetna says members with a D-SNP or C-SNP may receive an Extra Benefits Card and can check their portal to confirm card and wallet eligibility. The Extra Supports Wallet may cover approved healthy foods, personal care products, OTC products, utilities, and transportation; OTC wallets are limited to approved OTC products. For example, Aetna’s 2026 benefits summary lists a $225 monthly OTC wallet allowance for the Illinois Aetna Medicare FIDE (HMO D-SNP) plan. That is a plan-specific allowance, not a standard balance for all Aetna cards. 2026 Illinois FIDE D-SNP Summary of Benefits
