Published estimates suggest that several Championship ownership groups are wealthier than Watford owner Gino Pozzo, but there is no reliable, current figure for Pozzo’s personal net worth to make a like-for-like comparison. Forbes estimated Bristol City owner Stephen Lansdown’s net worth at $3.2 billion on 8 October 2026; estimates for Leicester City’s and Blackburn Rovers’ owners come from secondary lists and use less consistent methods.
How rich is Watford owner Gino Pozzo?
His current personal wealth is not established by the available public figures. A secondary compilation has put Pozzo at $120 million, but it does not provide a clear valuation method or a current estimate date. That number should not be treated as a confirmed measure of his net worth.
Watford’s filed accounts do establish his role in the club’s ownership. For the year ended 30 June 2025, they identify Diversify Sport Investment S.a.r.l. as the ultimate parent and Gino Pozzo as its sole shareholder and ultimate controlling party. The club’s immediate parent is Hornets Investment Limited. Watford Association Football Club Limited accounts
What Watford’s latest accounts say about the club
The accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 report a £16.232 million loss after tax. They also show £53.459 million in loans owed to Hornets Investment Limited and £7.723 million in unpaid interest as at 30 June 2025. Those are figures for Watford and its related companies, not a statement of Pozzo’s personal fortune or cash available to him.

BBC Sport reported that Watford recorded a £16.2 million pre-tax loss for 2024–25, following a £12.8 million profit the previous year. It said turnover fell by £32 million to £26 million, while wage costs declined from £33 million to £28.1 million. The season was Watford’s first without parachute payments since its 2022 relegation from the Premier League. BBC Sport’s report on Watford’s 2024–25 accounts
How Watford compares with wealthier Championship owners
The clearest current personal estimate in the cited comparisons is for Bristol City owner Stephen Lansdown. Forbes’ real-time estimate was $3.2 billion on 8 October 2026. Forbes identifies him as a co-founder of financial-services firm Hargreaves Lansdown and notes his Bristol Sport ownership. That is an estimate of Lansdown’s personal net worth—not Bristol City’s value, its budget, or money he has committed to spend on the club. Forbes’ Stephen Lansdown profile

Secondary lists also identify Leicester City’s Srivaddhanaprabha family and Blackburn Rovers’ Venky’s among the Championship’s wealthier ownership groups. Their estimates are not based on one transparent, consistent method, and a family or company-group figure is not directly comparable with an individual’s net worth. The lists can indicate which owners are often described as wealthy, but they cannot establish a definitive league-wide ranking or a precise gap with Pozzo. Net-worth estimates generally describe the value of assets minus liabilities, not liquid cash. Wealth may be held in private businesses, investments, or other assets that cannot be converted quickly or freely directed to a football club. A club’s revenue, debt, loans from related companies, and accounting profit or loss are separate measures; none of them, by itself, reveals an owner’s personal wealth or the amount they can or will invest.

For that reason, the responsible comparison is qualitative: published estimates point to several Championship owners with substantial wealth, and Lansdown has a dated Forbes estimate of $3.2 billion. The available figures do not support a dependable current net-worth number for Pozzo or a precise ranking of all Championship owners.
