The clearest reported figure is a $4 million WWE contract renewal for Brock Lesnar, cited in court-filed materials prepared for a WWE Board meeting in early 2023. That figure is not identified as an annual salary, so it does not establish how much Lesnar earns per year. Later reporting said he continued to receive his normal salary during a WWE hiatus but gave no amount. WWE has since announced his retirement from professional wrestling.
What is the reported $4 million figure?
POST Wrestling reported that materials filed in a shareholder lawsuit described a $4 million renewal of Lesnar’s WWE contract. The materials were prepared for a WWE Board meeting in early 2023 and became public through the court filing, as reported by POST Wrestling.
The report calls it a contract renewal amount; it does not say that $4 million was Lesnar’s annual salary, specify the period it covered, or lay out the full compensation terms. It is therefore the strongest specific public figure in the available reporting, but it cannot be converted into a yearly earnings estimate.
Was Lesnar paid while away from WWE?
In August 2025, Sports Illustrated reported, citing Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that Lesnar continued receiving his normal salary while away from WWE and remained among the company’s highest-paid wrestlers. The report supplied no dollar amount. It also said it was unconfirmed whether Lesnar signed a new contract during the hiatus, so it does not establish the terms or amount of any later deal.

What do WWE’s roster-wide figures tell us?
POST Wrestling also reported WWE main-roster talent compensation of $175 million in 2022 and an expected $195 million in 2023, in a context of about 130 main-roster talents. Dividing the expected 2023 total by that approximate roster count implies an average of roughly $1.5 million per talent. That is an arithmetic estimate across the roster—not Lesnar’s salary—and POST cautions that a few high earners can skew an average.
| Figure | What it describes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| $4 million | Lesnar’s reported contract renewal amount in court-filed materials prepared in early 2023, as reported by POST Wrestling in 2026. | An annual salary, payment period, or full contract structure. |
| $175 million | WWE main-roster talent compensation in 2022, as reported by POST Wrestling in 2026. | Lesnar’s individual pay. |
| $195 million | Expected WWE main-roster talent compensation in 2023, as reported by POST Wrestling in 2026. | Lesnar’s individual pay; this was a roster-wide expectation, not a reported salary for him. |
| About 130 talents | Approximate main-roster count in the same context reported by POST Wrestling. | A precise headcount or a basis for calculating any one wrestler’s compensation. |
What is known about his current WWE earnings?
WWE announced that Lesnar had retired from professional wrestling after a 24-year career. Its announcement confirms career status, not pay. The reviewed reporting does not establish a current annual WWE salary, a verified total of his WWE career earnings, or the complete compensation structure of his contracts.
