Pollstar reported an average box-office gross of $6.74 million per concert across 10 Coldplay shows in Hong Kong and South Korea in April 2025. That is ticket revenue attributed to those concerts—not a disclosed payment to Coldplay, Chris Martin, or any band member. The public figures do not establish individual salaries or the band’s net proceeds.
What Coldplay’s reported per-concert figure means
The $6.74 million figure is Pollstar’s reported average gross for a specific 10-show run in April 2025, not a universal rate for every Coldplay concert. Pollstar reported $67.4 million in combined gross across four Hong Kong performances and six South Korean performances. The underlying market subtotals were reported as $32.9 million and $34.4 million, respectively; because those rounded figures add to $67.3 million, use Pollstar’s published combined total as reported rather than treating the subtotals as exact.
The same report counted 183,980 tickets sold in Hong Kong and 318,309 in South Korea. Gross and attendance are different measures: ticket revenue does not say how much the band ultimately received. Pollstar’s box-office reporting is the source of the show figures.
Gross revenue is not the band’s salary
A concert gross is the reported revenue from ticket sales, before it can be equated with an artist’s take-home pay. The cited reporting does not disclose Coldplay’s promoter settlement, contract terms, touring expenses, net proceeds, or how any proceeds are divided among the band members. The Associated Press notes that Pollstar chart data draws on reported and estimated box-office figures, so the gross is a reported industry measure, not a verified personal-income figure. The AP’s explanation of Pollstar chart data describes that distinction.

There is therefore no substantiated public number here for Chris Martin’s pay per concert or for the individual compensation of his bandmates. Dividing the reported gross by four would not produce a reliable salary estimate: it would assume both that the gross is available to the band and that it is split equally, neither of which is established by the sources.
How the April 2025 run compares with other tour totals
Pollstar’s year and show-count figures give useful scale, but they describe different periods and should not be mistaken for per-concert earnings.

| Reporting period | Reported figure | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| April 2025, Hong Kong and South Korea | $67.4 million across 10 concerts; $6.74 million average gross per concert | Combined reported box-office gross for that 10-show run. Pollstar |
| 2025 chart entry | $390,489,072 gross; 2,918,405 tickets; $133.80 average ticket price; 50 dates | Pollstar’s reported 2025 touring-chart entry. It is a year-specific chart figure, not an individual salary or a per-show take-home amount. Pollstar |
| 2024 | More than $421.7 million from 3,293,480 tickets at 54 stadium concerts | Pollstar’s 2024 year-end reporting on that year’s stadium shows. Pollstar |
| Through 2024 | More than $1.14 billion in cumulative grosses | Pollstar’s cumulative tour-gross figure through 2024; not the same period as the 2025 chart entry. Pollstar |
The 2024 annual total and 2025 chart entry cover separate reporting periods and use distinct reporting contexts; they should not be added as if they were automatically compatible. The Associated Press later reported a $1.39 billion tour gross based on Pollstar’s September 2025 reporting, another figure with its own date and reporting basis. AP’s 2025 report does not make that number interchangeable with Pollstar’s 2025 chart entry.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is $6.74 million a current rate for future concerts?
No. It is an average for 10 identified concerts in two markets in April 2025. Ticket demand, venue capacity, prices, market, and the particular reporting period can all affect gross; the reported average does not establish what another show would earn. Pollstar reported in December 2025 that the Music of the Spheres World Tour had wrapped after 225 shows in 43 countries across five continents, so these tour figures should not be presented as a current per-show rate for a future tour. Pollstar’s December 2025 tour report gives the final-tour context.

How to read a concert-earnings headline
- Check whether a number is per concert, for a run of dates, for a calendar year, or cumulative for a tour.
- Keep the geography and show count attached to it; market-specific grosses are not automatically representative of other dates.
- Separate tickets sold and average ticket price from gross revenue, and distinguish reported or estimated box-office figures from verified artist payments.
- Do not treat a box-office gross as profit, net income, or an individual performer’s salary unless a source specifically establishes that amount.
